The L‘Ecurie is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Ecorsaint (approx 45 minutes west of Dijon) in the heart of the burgundian countryside. There are no shops or cafes in the hamlet but both are just a 10 minute drive away. L'Ecurie has been transformed from three barns into a lovely home which comfortably sleeps 8. It shares magnificent views and a swimming pool with two independent, private villas. The Farmhouse (sleeps 2-4) and Pickwicks Cottage (sleeps 2), all 3 properties can be rented individually or as one unit sleeping up to 14 people.
The kitchen is well equipped to cater for up to 14 people and includes a large Ambassador gas hob and oven, microwave, cafétière and food processor. The large dining room (seats 14 comfortably) has an open wood fire. The room has an interesting arched window which dates back to the 17th century which was used, with a stone slab sink, for washing and drying cheese. It has now been glazed and overlooks the back garden terrace.
Directly off the dining room is the salon with two large arched windows leading out onto the terrace. The salon is spacious and offers comfortable seating. There is a large Burgundian armoire which houses the stereo, with CD player, and a selection of CD's (mainly classical). There is a television receiving BBC world channels and a DVD/video machine with a selection of videos and DVD's. The salon has a wood burning fire and underfloor heating. The house benefits from central heating throughout.
Through from the kitchen is a laundry room and entrance to the garage (parking for 2 cars) with further parking provided behind the changing rooms, pool side. Leading off the laundry room, up 3 steps, is a bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with shower.
The ground floor level has a second bathroom with shower.
On the first floor there are a further 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a bed measuring 2m x 2m and a balcony, with table & chairs, overlooking the valley. The room has high ceilings with original oak beams - two of these are low, one accessing the room itself and the other entering the bedroom area. This room has its own bathroom with a deep bath, large shower and features local limestone tiling on the floor and walls. The room also has a large dressing area with a large wardrobe.
The second and third bedrooms both offer twin beds and have clothes storage.
You’ll have private use of the garden on two sides of the house, one leading from the salon onto the terrace and the other from the kitchen. The terrace has garden tables and chairs.
For the summer months the swimming pool is shared with Pickwicks Cottage and the Farmhouse. It is set away from all the houses (50 metres) and therefore provides a reasonable amount of privacy for guests. The pool is regularly maintained, cleaned and has an efficient heating system regulating the temperature at 26°C. The poolhouse has changing rooms and an undercover eating area (complete with small fridge and sink). There is also a WC, shower, changing area and a line for drying wet towels and bathing costumes. Poolside furniture is provided. Swimming towels are not provided

L'Ecurie is a very well equipped and comfortable house in the hamlet of Ecorsaint. This hamlet is 45 mins from Dijon. There are endless excursions around making it a highly desirable location. Every comfort has been thought of and provided.
There are three bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen has been designed to take into account everybody's special needs to create those wonderful Burgundian meals!
There is a barbeque and terrace with the property, with sun table, chairs and parasol. At the poolside there is also seating. The pool house has a ping pong table, changing area, toilet and shower. Maintenance is regularly carried out. The view across the valley is absolutely beautiful!
At approximately 8 kms there are two restaurants worth visiting. One is a steak & chip restaurant and the other is the best one around, Le Cheval Blanc.
Shopping is in Venarey les Laumes where there is a SuperU, approx 12kms.
