The Holiday Cottage was converted from a small stone barn to a fully independent home, ideal for a couple.

The cottage is designed around an open-plan living / kitchen / dining room, quarry-tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings and a wood burning stove assure a traditional character.

Large French windows open onto a private garden and terrace, where guests can take their meals outdoors.
The cottage is comfortably furnished and equipped with a small TV ( VCR and DVD only), there is a gas stove, a microwave oven, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine .

The mezzanine overlooking the living area has a double bed, downstairs there is a separate bedroom with twin beds.

The cottage is heated by a powerful wood-burning stove, which makes it comfortable all year around.

Les Langrons is set in the heart of the Auxois region.
The small fortified medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois is just a five-minute drive.
There is an fresh food market on Sundays, and a wide range of shops and services,a choice of restaurants, cinema,a beautiful church and a museum and theatre.
Les Langrons is within 20 minutes of the new Muséoparc d'Alésia ,the Abbey of Fontenay(UNESCO world heritage),the chateau of Bussy Rabutin and Epoisse the Burgundy canal and Lac de Pont with beach and swimming.
Visits within an hou of Lanr’s drive from Les Langrons:
Dijon, the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy and the region’s administrative and gastronomic capital
Beaune, the centre of the wine industry, the 15 century Hospice and an excellent town for shopping.
Auxerre, once the capital of lower Burgundy on the banks of the river Yonne.
Vezelay, UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A 20% non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, the balance is due on arrival. A cautionary cheque of £150 is taken at the beginning of the rental and returned upon departure. Clients have an optional cleaning service at the end of their stay (80 euros) but may choose to clean the cottage themselves.
No extra charges. The beds are made up and towels are provided, in the winter months (Oct/April) wood is provided in the cost of the rental.

Resident in Burgundy since the 1982 ,

Les Langrons cottage is best suited for people looking for a quiet break and/or wishing to discover the cultural wealth of Burgundy.The Auxois is in central Burgundy making it an ideal setting for visiting both north and south.If you plan to relax and wish to visit just local sites there is a wealth of choice within a 30 minute drive.
If you are a nature lover and you enjoy walking or cycling there are many circuits and the 'Voie Verte' along the Burgundy Canal is only 7km away (bicycle hire is possible in Venary les Laumes).
The cottage is at the entrance to my home (a traditioal farm) where I run a small B+B so I am never very far away should you have and questions or difficulties. The views from the cottage over look the private garden and terrace on to pastureland, ensuring your privacy.
We are pet lovers and provided your pets are house trained and sociable they are most welcome. There is an excellent vet in Semur en Auxois should any check ups be needed.
Please note that although there is a DVD and video player there is no television so if you are a telly fan this will not be a good choice for you.
