Our two cottages only 5 mins away from Guemene sur Scorff is one of the most attractive towns in the region,it is situated in the heart of beautiful wooded countryside and this relative inaccessibility has saved it from too much redevelopment over the past forty or fifty years. In the Middle Ages Guemene was an important strategic site with a large castle guarding the western edge of the domains of the Dukes of Rohan, The situation of the cottages means that they are in easy reach of historic towns, villages and the southern Brittany coastline, which you can get to in aprox 45 mins. Locally you can go on many walks across country, along river banks, or only a short distance away take a stroll along the River Blavet,The cottages have been renovated up to a high standard, but still in keeping with a rustic theme and maintaining comfort, having a fondness for pets ourselves you are welcome to bring well behaved pets to join you, you will be assured a warm welcome on your arrival.

Bon Repos:

Bon Repos is one of our two cottages accessed via a welcoming private drive, the properties have far reaching views across southern Brittany and are situated in superbly landscaped grounds containing not only a boules court but an above ground pool,the pretty court yard with its geraniums overflowing from window boxes and containers, and the garden loungers hammocks, BBQ facilities ensure that you make the most of the lovely environment, Bon Repos facilities include a double bedroom and twin room, a well equipped kitchen, dining area with pine table and chairs, comfortable lounge and a ground floor shower room all the original oak beams are exposed as are the stone walls, use the boules court when relaxing in the evenings, and make use of the bicycles to go and get your crossants in the morning, a favourite on a Sunday mornings is the local market at Lamour Plage getting down there early for coffee right on the beach and watching the children on the activities they have available.

All garden furniture ; BBQs and bycycles are on site ; will also purchase food items on request ready for you on your arrival; all bed linen supplied ; heating if required.

Southern Brittany beaches and coastline can be calm and sandy as are Lamore Plage, Guidel; Fort Bloque, other coast lines can be very rugged and wild; both are within easy reach, between 45_60 mins by car, a little longer to get to Carnac, which ever you choice you can be sure to come across a good eatery, many of the larger town are good for exploring, Josslin, for its history, then only 20mins away you have Lac Guerladan with a choice of water sports and pedalos.
