Standing on its own on the edge of the hamlet, fields & rural views all around. Safe for small children. Dogs are welcome. Supermarkets and shops are 5kms. away at Serent. The 63 km. Voie Verte (greenway) is wonderful for walks, cycling & rollerblading. Near to the Museum of the Resistance at St Marcel. Close to pretty town of Malestroit with a Thursday market. Medieval village of Rochefort en Terre is only a short drive away as is the romantic chateau at Josselin. The magnificent town of Vannes is but a 30 minutes drive on the express way where beaches, wildlife sanctuaries & watersports abound. There are boat trips of every kind leaving from Vannes for destinations all over the gulf of Morbihan. Close to the Nantes Brest canal with its pretty tow path for cycling, walking and stopping for a drink or lunch in one of the little villages along the way. Ploermel, 15 mins. away has a lake with watersports and great 9-hole golf course with good practice facilities for all standards. 
 
 
Notes on accommodation: 
 
This is an extremely comfortable and welcoming home from home. It is used extensively by the owners and there are many personal touches not usually found in a holiday cottage. The owners have been in the hospitality business and it shows. They have lots of repeat business. 
 
 
Accessibility: 
 
There are 3 steps up to the front door. Once inside there are no steps on the ground floor. The stairs are wide and quite shallow to get to the first floor. There are 2 steps down to the second bedroom & bathroom. The ground around the house is reasonably flat. 
 
Outside: 
 
2 acres of ground with sunshine all round. Table and chairs both sides of house to catch the sun and shelter from any wind. There are also deckchairs and rocking chairs and a hammock. Large inflatable paddling pool with pump in the cellar for guests to use if required. There are many mature oak trees that provide welcome shade in the hot weather. 
 
 
Further details: 
 
Our area is well laid out for cycling, jogging, walking & rollerblading. We have 2 cycles that can be made available by prior arrangement. There are 2 shops in Malestroit that hire cycles out, if you only want to cycle leisurely along the canal towpath to a cafe/pub & back. Vannes also has plenty of flat paths along the edge of the gulf of Morbihan, for these activities. Bicycles for hire on Ile d'Arz - ferry from Conleau near Vannes. Bird watching is also very popular throughout the whole region.

Hob/Stove, Oven, Iron & Board, Telephone, Internet Access, Barbecue Extensive kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and washing up machine. Magimix and full cooking equipment. Owners are ex restaurateurs so very well equipped with pretty china and picnic things. Living Rooms: Open plan with 2 sitting areas - one round the fire with comfy sofas and armchairs and the other overlooking the terrace with spectacular views. Large pine table with pretty painted chairs with cushions. English TV, video, DVD etc. Games, jigsaws, books. Other: Huge games room in the adjoining barn with table tennis, snooker, table football, darts and boules. Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: Linen and towels are supplied and changed every week. Tea towels and beach towels are not provided. Property is cleaned every week but tenants required to leave it as they find it and to empty the rubbish.

9 holes at Ploermel (8kilometers, 15 mins by car). 
18 holes at Baden(30 mins by car). 
18 holes at Rennes (40 mins by car). 
La Boule is a country club with 2 championship 18 hole courses about 75 mins by car. 
There are many other courses within easy reach. A booklet is available at any golf course giving details of all local courses, degree of difficulty & cost of green fees.

• Travel Info: A car is needed at this cottage. It is located an hour and a half from St. Malo by car. 3 hours from Cherbourg and Caen. 5-6 hours from Calais/Boulogne. 2 hours from Roscoff. Coming by air it is 1 hour from Rennes, one and a half hours from Dinard, one and a half hours from Nantes. Cars can be hired at all these airports.
