Vacation Rental Description
A beautifully restored cottage has a cosy sitting room with a log burning stove set in an old Breton fireplace, oak beams and Patio doors leading to the private terrace. The farmhouse kitchen/diner has dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave and large patio doors. Upstairs. Large double bedroom with en-suite shower, washbasin and WC, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and WC. All our properties have log burning stoves, comfortable lounges, well-equipped kitchens and individual private terraces with barbecues and garden furniture.
The Swimming Pool
Our 11.5 x 5 metre heated pool with large sun terrace enjoys panoramic views and is securely fenced to protect small children with Roman steps, fun slide, a separate paddling pool and sun-loungers.
The Grounds and Lake
The large landscaped grounds are childproof with an extensive children’s play area, and garden games for all ages, is well maintained by the British owners who live on site with their two young children. The pretty well stocked trout lake is also securely fenced and is fed by a fresh water spring, ideal for fishing, boating and quiet picnics.
Location
The cottages are in a little hamlet surrounded by tranquil unspoilt countryside yet only 5 minutes drive from the pretty town of Languidic, which has supermarkets, banks and restaurants etc.,
Places to visit
The choice of beaches within 30 to 45 minutes drive is enormous, from the chic fashionable Lamor Plage at Lorient, popular Carnac, unspoilt Erdeven and the wild surfing Cote Sauvage at Quiberon to name a few. The bustling medieval market towns of Hennebont, Auray (with it’s delightful old port of St.Goustan) and Vannes, with smart shopping centres and a choice of hypermarkets, the famous Gulf of Morbihan (little sea), with it’s hundreds of islands are all within half an hours drive. The beautiful Blavet river valley is only a 5 minutes drive away and has coarse fishing, canoeing and with its wide shady towpaths is ideal for cyclists and walkers. The recently restored medieval village of Poul Fetan, the standing stones of Carnac, and the Chateau at Josselin with its magnificent pepper pot towers, are all sites not to be missed. For the food lovers, enjoy the wonderful restaurants and local seafood, taste wines from all over France at the local wine cellars, and don’t forget to sample the delicious gallettes, crepes and cider which are the Breton speciality. For golfers there are at least six quality courses within 20 to 40 minutes drive.
The only problem our guests face is how to fit in all the sight seeing they wish to do and still have plenty of time to relax!

Prices include all linen, except towels, all water and electricity and central heating when required. Cots and highchairs are available free of charge, please order at time of booking.Please note that you are required to leave the house ad you find it or you can arrange for our cleaning lady to clean the house after your departure. Le Chataignier – 45 Euros. The arrival time is 5pm. The departure time is 10am. Changeover day is Saturday. You will receive directions with our confirmation of the receipt of your final payment. Booking :Telephone bookings are held for 7 days, after which a completed booking form and deposit of 25% are required to confirm the reservation. The balance is due 8 weeks before the arrival date, along with a damage deposit of £150.
