Vacation Rental Description
Quistinic is a hamlet of 5 charming stone properties set in 9 acres of fields and woodland. Walnut comprisies of a double bedroom a twin room and a double sofa bed in the living room. The property is a 'topsy-turvy' gite with the bedroom and shower room/WC on the ground floor and the living area on the first floor with large sliding doors out onto a private garden. Walnut is very comfortably furnished and has Satellite TV, Video and DVD player. The property has a well equipped kitchen/diner complete with microwaves, coffee maker and full range of cooking utensils.
The sliding doors lead out onto your own garden which has a terrace, lawn and well stocked rockery and we have provided tables chairs, parasols and BBQ equipment. Car parking is to the side of the property however, there is no through traffic, making it very safe for children. We host a weekly BBQ on the central terrace area where you can meet up with other guests on site. There is also a shared laundry room with a washing machine and outdoor clothes lines with a clothes horse in the gite.
The pool is solar heated and fenced for security. It is 10m x 5m in dimension and has a shallow end suitable for children, the pool area has sun loungers and we have a number of inflatables for the pool. There is a childrens play area complete with a bouncy castle suitable for the under 11s.
Quistinic is a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk away from the small village of Langoelan. Langoelan has excellent facilities,a boulangerie for bread, pastries and basic groceries, a pizzeria, which has a traditional french menu at lunchtime and pizzas in the evening, a creperie/bar open lunchtimes and evenings, a service station which is also a bar and a beautiful lake which is ideal for taking a stroll around. You can also stop at the lakeside bar for a drink and bar snacks.
Guemene Sur Scorff is 10 minutes from Quistinic and has all the main facilities you will need, supermarkets, banks, shops, restaurants, bars. Pontivy is 20 minutes away and is set on the banks of the River Blavet, you can visit the Chateau du Rohan and wander around the shops down the cobbled streets. Pontivy also has a golf-course, bowling alley, horse-riding and a weekly market. The nearest beaches are 40 minutes away along the Lorient coastline, or alternatively you could visit Lac de Guerledan with its scenic setting and man made beach, they also have a selection of water sports.
Getting to Quistinic could not be easier with many ferry crossings and flights available and the transfer from the ferry and airports are very straightforward and takes you through the picturesque scenery.
Brittany Ferries offer routes from Portsmouth - St Malo or Caen and Plymouth or Cork - Roscoff and Poole - Cherbourg, we are registered as an independent travel agent and as such can obtain reduced rates for our guests.
LD Lines have a Portsmouth - Le Havre crossing and Condor Ferries a crossing from Weymouth - St Malo via Jersey and Guernesy. Alternatively, Speed Ferries have a 45 minute crossing from Dover - Bolougne.
Ryanair are adding new routes all the time and fly to Brest, Dinard or Nantes from Southampton, Bristol, London Stansted, Luton, East Midlands, Manchester and many more. Flybe also has a number of routes to Brittany.

Brittany has something for everyone, it can be a tranquil retreat amongst stunning scenery of fields, hills, woodland and a vast array of wildlife. Or alternatively the local towns can provide you with a taste of Breton life, with it's bustling markets and fantastic restaurants which offer very substantial and mouth watering menus at a very low cost.
The local area has a number of first class golf courses, plenty of well stocked lakes and rivers for the keen fishermen/women, is ideal cycling terrain and there are numerous outdoor activities to suit all ages, from horse-riding to quad biking, canoeing, rambling and much much more! There are a few theme/water parks, museums, an aquarium, a butterfly sanctuary and many historical towns and cities steeped in history which is celebrated with festivals and concerts at various times throughout the year.
