The medieval town of Josselin famous for it's magnificent château on the banks of the river Oust (connected to the Nantes-Brest canal) is just 3 miles away. Josselin has large supermarkets and also within the town there are several shops, restaurants, bars & cafes. The river Oust is a great place to hire a boat or canoe, or have a stroll or bike ride along the tow-paths. The town of Ploermel with it's lake (Lac Du Duc) is only 8 miles away where there is a sandy beach, water slides and a restaurant. A wide range of sports are available both on & off the lake e.g. Tennis, volley ball, sailing, water skiing, golf etc. Only 45 minutes drive south is the Golfe de Morbihan, with a vast bay, many islands, sandy beaches & rocky inlets popular for sailing & cruising. 1.5 hours drive to the north will reach: the Cotes d'Armor, Dinard Airport & the walled city of St Malo.
