In an elevated position in the Claie Valley, between Ploermel and Vannes,(an area of outstanding natural beauty), and only 10 minute drive from picturesque Malestroit, this sympathetically restored house, formerly a working farm, retains many original features, with oak beams, exposed stone, and a huge Breton fireplace with Clearview wood burning stove(winter use only).
The property is finished to a high standard and offers quality accommodation. Resting in a small hamlet, with views over the wooded hills to the valley beyond, the house has 5000 m² of well-managed grounds which lead through a woodland walk down to the banks of the Claie. It is an ideal location for nature lovers, the area boasts an abundance of wildlife, including chevreil, the local wild deer, buzzards, sparrow hawks, & many other species. There are many walks, nature trails and bridle paths making it a perfect base for ramblers and cyclists.

Notes:
The house has its own, private, well stocked, beautiful reaer garden with patio, table and chairs and BBQ. Guests are welcome to roam in the expansive, lawned grounds and orchard, or walk through the woods, to the banks of the Claie below. The orchard is the setting for the swimming pool, a wooden framed above ground pool, 18 feet by 12 feet, and changing cabin, of which you have exclusive use. The pool is not available until May each year, bookings before that date are without pool and are at a lower price. We are available if and when you need us, otherwise we will leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday. (Please note the TV is for playing videos and DVD's only - there is no English or French TV reception).

- Travel Info: The house stands in a rural hamlet, 4km outside the village of St Guyomard, which has a renowned artisan bakers, bar/tabac, small supermarket, hair-dressers, post office and Le Marronier retaurant. Malestroit, 6km, is lovely medieval town on the Nantes/Brest canal, with many bars and restaurants and supermarket shopping. Vannes, the old Breton capital, an ancient walled city/port is 15 min down the N166. to the north(20 min)is the famous Josselin Chateau, and Ploermel with its large lake, water sports and golf course. It is a good, location for house-hunting in Brittany.
