Lan Ty Bihan is a traditional Breton stone cottage with a large living room with stone fireplace and a corner kitchen. The kitchen is a modern one, well equiped with micro-wave, toaster, cofee machines, hob and oven, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and all the cutlery and crockery you are likely to need. The bedroom occupies most of the first floor and has twin beds and adequate wardbrobe space. The bathroom is modern and equiped with a bijou but comfortable bath and a number of shower alternatives. There is a landing on the first floor just large enough to use a folding bed for a child or third adult. A small sun-room, just right for morning cofee allows you nto view the south facing garden. The garden itself is quite wild and wooded, about three-quarters of an acre in size, and is the remains of a small stone quarry, so very enclosed to the rear, though open to the front of the property.
Heating to the cottage, when needed, is mainly by a gas-fired enameled Godin stove of traditional style, and there is suplementary heating by a wall electric fire in the sun-room and a portable oil-filled electric radiator.

The surrounding landscape is a rural, farming one. The cottage is one of three properties at Lande Ratassin, the nearest being a stone farm-house with limited farm activity and no animals such as cows, chickens or pigs.

The Blavet Valley is on the doorstep almost literally since the small rural road begins its descent into the valley about 100 meteres from the cottage. Nearby is the very pretty waterside village of St Nicolas des Eaux (3 Kms) where bikes can be hired as well as canoes and pedalos. The golf course at Rimaison (10 Kms), is reputed to be the best in Brittany. The town of Baud is about 10 Kms away, with all the facilities you need and closer is the village of St Barthelemy, with good but more limited facilites.

The sea-side and beautiful beaches of southern Brittany are about 45 minutes drive away, and all around you will find the reamins of the neolithic culture of Brittany of 5000 years ago.
