Vacation Rental Description

A beautiful spacious Breton cottage tastefully restored to a high standard. The detached cottage is in a tranquil location with views across the countryside yet ideally located for the sandy beaches and the spectacular coastlines. The cottage has a secluded garden, ideal for alfresco dining and private parking

Loubelle Cottage has a large, modern, well equipped kitchen including range-style cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine etc. and ample cupboards and worktops. The large window looks out over the gardens.

The spacious dining room has an extending dinning table and seating for 6 people. A CD player/radio and CD's for your use. The door from here leads to the drive.

The living room is well furnished with comfortable seating, has exposed beams, wood burner, Satellite TV, video and DVD player. There are a number of board games, videos, DVD's and books etc. in case of a rainy day.

The hallway has stairs leading to the first floor and 2 spacious bedrooms- 1 x double room and a twin room, which also has an extra single fold-up bed, sleeping five people comfortably. Both rooms have the normal bedroom furniture, comfortable beds and benefit from large windows with views across the gardens and countryside. A travel cot is available on request. The family bathroom is well equipped with bath, shower, hand basin and WC. The bathroom can be accessed from either the landing or the master bedroom.

The village of Louargat in the ‘department’ (county) of Cotes d’Armor is just off the main tourist routes and is well known locally for its picturesque setting, beautiful church & standing stones or ‘Menhers’.

Louargat boasts many individual shops - including boulangerie, mini supermarket, chemist and tabac. Also – two bars, a hotel, restaurant, creperie, bank and post office.

The local market is in the village square every Thursday, there are numerous other lively local markets in the neighbouring villages of Begard and Belle Isle en Terre for farm fresh produce and of course large hypermarkets a short drive away in Guingamp, Lannion and Morlaix.

The local beaches are among the best in Brittany and are only a short drive away (approx 20 mins). There is Lake Guerledin nearby (40 mins)which offers many water sports etc. during the summer months. The nearest Golf course is in the next village of Begard and the nearest bar & restaurant is in the village itself.

Loargat is situated just north of the RN12 and very easy to find.

Loubelle Cottage is well equipped and comfortable. There is plenty of parking and being at the end of a small quiet hamlet is quite safe for children to play. All quilts, pillows and blankets are supplied for all beds and bed linen can be supplied at a small extra cost.

There are many activities available a short drive from the cottage. Amori Parc is in the next village of Begard, has a swimming pool, animals and lots to do and see. There is a great Zoo/wildlife parc towards Lannion approx 1/2 hours drive away. Shopping is great in the local hypermarkets in Guingampand Lannion and of course at the local markets in surrounding village. There are many good restarants both locally and on the coast also try the local creperies for delicous savory and sweet crepes.

The prices are for the rental of the cottage, we often have special offers and discounts available , please enquire. We also offer Ferry Discount Vouchers for Brittany Ferries A non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, this is £50 per week booked. We also require a £100 security deposit against damage, breakage, theft from the cottage or excessive cleaning. This is reurned to you after the cottage has been checked after your departure.
