The Cosy Corner is situated approx.one mile from the main road and the nearest bar restaurant.

The medieval town Guingamp, which is quiet sizeable, is just about five miles away, it has a leisure centre,a giant supermarket called Carrefour,and many interesting shops and a market twice weekly.

Close at hand there are beautiful walks and a barbeque spot by the river Trieux.

Going north the coast can be easily reached by car in 30mins. It offers a variety of locations for swimming, walking, boating and many other activities.

There are off shore Islands to explore and golf can be found at Perros-Guirec, which also boast of a livley evenings entertainment in the season.

The most interesting villages are there to explore and you can find a market in progress somewhere practically every day of the week.

The local people are very friendly and helpful and quite a few speak and understand a little English. However! They love you to speak to them in French, which of course can be fun.

HOW TO GET TO BRITTANY FRANCE.

Brest and Dinard Airport both about 100km from the cottage and serviced by Ryanair and Flybe. ( you do need a car).

Brittany Ferries; Portsmouth to St.Malo (110km), Cherbourg (294km), Cain (265km).

Brittany Ferries; Plymouth to Roscoff (80km), poole to Cherbourg (294km).

Condor Ferries; Poole to St.Malo (110km).

The Cosy Corner sleeps four and consists of on the ground floor a modern kitchenette, with gaz cooker, electric kettle, fridge, microwave, cutlery, glassware and all cooking utensils. You need to take a dish cloth and tea towels. Also on the ground floor, cosy lounge with wooden dining table and chairs, a three seater bed settee, easy chair, TV for DVD and Video use only and a log effect electric fire. Also on the ground floor, Shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin.Ironing board and iron. You need to take your own towels. On the first floor there is a very large bedroom with traditional French beds one double and two single. You need to take sheets and pillowcases, duvets,pillows and blankets are provided. A selection of Books, games, DVD and Videos are available also a hairdryer and radio CD player.

There is a large garden around the cottage where you can sit and enjoy the wild birds and butterflies or enjoy a game of boule, have a barbeque or play on the swings and slide. Something for everone.

The Pink Granite Coast which is only a a short drive away will delight you with its secluded sandy bays, bathing in a sea warmed by the Gulf Sream.

The larger towns will provide the night life ( even a casino ) and a whole spectrum of cuisine.

There are many towns with breathtaking architectural interest, and a local market can be found for exploring nearly every week day. Lannion is a must.

There are many islands and coves to explore. The Isles de Brehat is a must to visit and you can hire bikes to explore the island.

There is a childrens water park nearby.

My favorite place is the chateau La Roche Jagu, you can enjoy a relaxing meal, then explore the gardens (which are free). It is only about a 20 min drive away.

There is a £50 deposite per week required on confirmation of booking. Balance payable 4 weeks prior to departure. Deposite refunded only if written confirmation of cancellation is received 8 weeks prior to departure. Accepted payment serling cheques only. Our week start Sunday to Sunday.
