Vacation Rental Description
Large windows in all rooms allow visitors to appreciate panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The house is south facing and, in front, there now exists a gravelled terrace where breakfast is often served on sunny summer mornings. The granite stones help keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer, shutters and blinds also help to keep rooms cool in summer.

The garden contains various benches, tables and chairs so that guests can relax, watch the birds and enjoy the peace of the countryside.

There is a private car park and covered secure parking is available for cycles and motorbikes if required.

Situated amongst rolling hills and forests it is but a short drive to numerous beauty spots, the centre of Brittany and thence to the southern coast or to the mediaeval city of Guingamp and thence to the northern coast, the granite rose coast, Finistere and the many peninsulas and coastal beauty spots.
Facilities

Our granite farmhouse has been sympathetically renovated to provide modern amenities such as double glazing, insulation, central heating, heated towel rails and en-suite bathrooms for all bedrooms whilst retaining the original staircase, doors and open beams in all rooms ensuring the comfort of visitors yet giving a them feel for yesteryear. There are 2 twin bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms, 1 of which has a large en-suite wetroom with bath. All have tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. The dinning room is furnished in typical Breton style with large open table, grandfather clock and armchairs beside the grand fireplace. Breakfasts are described by guests as copious, evening meals are available on request when the hosts, Carole and Patrick, are delighted to join visitors ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Tourist information is freely available as well as advice if required on places of interest throughout Brittany.

    • With the river Blavet less than 5 minutes walk with other lakes and rivers nearby this an wonderful place for fishermen, birdwatchers and picnics! There are more than 200 kms of VTT trails in the vicinity making this a perfect place for walkers and cyclists. With menhirs and dolmens, forests, gorges and legends galore this is an ideal base for exploring the countryside of Brittany.

    The large coastline of Brittany offers a variety of beaches to suit all tastes with an abundance of fish and seafood. The climate is ideal for vegetable growing and much meat is reared locally. Thus restaurants and shops can offer fresh local food. Various beaches and ports are 40-45 minutes drive. Air and ferry ports are within one and a half hours drive and the train station in Guingamp connects with trains from Paris and all parts of France. Car hire is available in each of these locations.

    Second floor Twin bedrooms are 45 euros per night, including breakfast, and 48 euros per night in July and August, breakfast included. First floor double bedrooms are 50 euros and 55 euros per night including breakfast and 55 and 58 euros per night in July and August, breakfast included. There is an additional charge of 12 euros per night for each additional person in any room. Cots can be provided at no extra charge for children up to 2 years of age. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the stay is required to secure a reservation.
