A character Cottage with enclosed garden, riverside setting and views to medieval Dinan and the hilltop castle in Lehon. Sleeps 7 plus cot.
A harmoniously renovated cottage with exposed stonework and beamed ceilings in a tranquil location. A stone's throw from the River Rance and the picturesque medieval town of Lehon, within walking distance of historic Dinan with its half timbered houses and cobbled streets.
Originally the coach house to the neighbouring medieval hunting lodge, 6 le Pavillon is a charming house recently renovated yet maintaining its original character. With its peaceful location on the edge of picturesque Lehon, a 'Petite Cite de Charactere', with its 9th century Abbey and Norman Castle, and only 200m from the River Rance, it has much to offer without needing to use the car. All the family can enjoy the local open air pool in Lehon and walking or cycling along the tranquil towpath to the beautiful old Port of Dinan where you can walk up to the medieval town with its cobbled streets and half timbered houses. The enclosed garden to the front and terrace to the rear catch the sun all day long, with views of the castle and abbey of Lehon and the spires of Dinan visible in the distance. Many beautiful beaches are also within easy reach, including Dinard, St Malo and Cancale, with its famous seafood restaurants. Bar, restaurant and boulangerie within walking distance.
Facilities
There is no swimming pool at the property but there is a large public outdoor pool within walking distance in Lehon. Enclosed garden with patio furniture and barbeque. Colour TV (for video and DVD use only). Cot and highchair. Open fire in dining room (initial basket of wood provided), oil fired central heating. Bedroom 1 with double bed and en-suite bathroom (2nd floor). Bedroom 2 with twin beds (1st floor). Bedroom 3 with double bed (1st floor) leading to: Bedroom 4 with single bed and cot (1st floor) (off bedroom 3). Restaurant/bar 0.3km. Baker, Bar/tabac 0.5km. Supermarket, bank, doctors and pharmacy 1.5km in Lanvallay. General shops, restaurants, bars in Dinan. 0.3km to Lehon Abbey. 0.5km to Lehon Castle. 2km walk or cycle along the tow path to Dinan Port. 3km drive to Dinan 1.5km from Lanvallay.
Activities
There are a good number of excellent golf courses with a short drive away, including Dinard (founded in 1887), St Malo, Pen Guen (St Cast), Sables D'Or (Cap Frehel) and Plenneuf Val Andre.
The beautiful Emerald Coast stretches from the wild rocks of Cape Frehel to the Bay of Mont St Michel. There are many stunning coves and beaches within half an hour drive.
The area is an excellent base for walking and cycling and bikes can be hired locally in Dinan Port. From Dinan Port take a boat trip along the Rance or hire a self drive boat or kayak. Sailing and windsurfing are available at various places along the coast, including St Jacut. Visit the historic towns of St Malo, Dinard, Combourg, Becherel, and of course Mont St Michel - all a short drive away. Mont St Michel.

Please contact us to make a booking by e-mail or by phone. A non refundable 25% deposit will be payable at the time of booking. The balance of the rental is payable 8 weeks before your holiday, along with a refundable damages deposit of £100 which will be refunded after inspection of the property. A £30 fuel supplement will be charged October to April. Towels and linen are available for £7.50 per person. Supplements paid at time of payment of balance. The beds are supplied with pillows and duvets. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Please discuss at time of booking.Discounts available for long term lets - please ask. Property also available for 2010. Please email or phone for prices. Payments to be made by cheque. Please Note that unlike the rest of the year Christmas and new year are available Sunday to Sunday.
