Many thanks for a wonderful time at your cottage in Dinan with everything provided for our comfort and amusement. We loved the town and port area with all the historic buildings and plenty of places to eat and drink, as well as the opportunity for country walks alongside the river to such places as Lehon and La Hisse.

Holiday in Dinan cottage

What a delightful spot and a wonderful historic town!
We wanted for nothing in the cottage, it contained everything listed and more besides. The log fires on chilly autumn evenings made it very cosy. All amenities were within walking distance and although the walk into town was steep, you barely noticed as the buildings were so fascinating! Great places to eat and drink very close by.
It is definitely somewhere we shall return to.

I totally agree with the comments made by others - you want for nothing in this house and we had a great time. Went to both restaurants a few yards from the house and had excellent meals and the bakery on the corner is to die for. Would definately stay at this house again if we are in the area.

This is my fourth visit to Dinan and my fourth choice of this property; my renewed choices speak volumes for the comfort and enjoyment while staying in this rented accommodation.
The cottage has loads of character: it is warm in winter (we stayed during an icy Christmas but never felt the cold, despite snow-laden cobblestones outside) and cool in summer. The owner has recently built a beautiful exterior deck which catches the sun in time for breakfast and retains it until 'happy hour', ie ANY time of the day!
The interior of the cottage, although old and redolent of ages past, has been modernised and is thus very practical. The owners have equipped the property with everything one might need on holiday; all the appliances were functional and efficient and the kitchen was especially well supplied with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
The living area, although slightly dark, is not gloomy as there is a large window overlooking the historic Rue du Petit Fort, where the passing parade provides plenty of interest; nevertheless, privacy is assured by sensible curtains and shutters when appropriate.
On each of my visits, I have found a high standard of cleanliness on arrival; the bedrooms and bathroom are spacious, light and sparkling clean.
The location of the cottage is ideal from the point of view of proximity to the beautiful port on the River Rance as well as to charming shops, cafes and creperies in nearby Rue du Jerzoual, and the town centre. Apart from the disrupted sleep caused by a few thoughtless patrons, each stay has been memorable, made more so by the friendliness of kind local inhabitants.
I thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing stay in the medieval splendour of historic, scenic Dinan.
