by the main entrance to the old town.Here There is ample parking or a garage available.(Please note, we have 2 apartments and may still have availability even if shown as taken on our calender). Here you are only a moment from bars,shops and all that Dinan has to offer. The apartments belonged to the Bank below and were built in grand dimensions. The recently refurbed apartments offer full facilities, so cooking and relaxing in the apartments is a pleasure. Our first floor apartment is large by any standards, three bedrooms with large kitchen, bathroom seperate toilet and a very comfotable lounge, rather Art Nouvo in style. Our second floor apartment is a four bedroom apartment, with a vaulted ceiling in the Kitchen/diner area, and an open plan dining area and lounge, and a toilet/shower room. This apartment has exposed beams and ancient stone walls that bears testiment the age of this town, and makes for a wonderful living space. Both apartments are tastefully furnished and decorated and we supply fresh bed linen and towels. We have a repesentertive who will greet you and show you your apartment, she is on call through out your stay and will give any infomation required. In our large hallway we have made every effort to supply all the infomation that you may require with maps and many leaflets for attractions and events such as the jazz weekends or the music festival or the wonderous "Fets Des Remparts" a medieval fetival not to be missed. So make the most of your visit, weather it be sailing or boat trips,the beautiful beaches, historical towns & sites, exhibitions, music festivals, local markets, ancient ruins, or viewing the many artist studios that are her, its waiting here for you to enjoy, there really is so much to see..for mor pictures of our apartments and Dinan visit our web site www.dinangites.com . . . . A brief history. . . . DINAN is the jewel stone set here in wonderful Brittany, famous for beutiful beaches and rural country side, you will find a rich history of trade and conflict through out the ages. Dinan, The seat of the Dukes of Brittany for many decades, is a thousand year old fortress town that has blossemed into a time locked treasure. Dinan was the centre of commerce in Brittany for hundreds of years, and that is shown by the grand merchants houses and spendid buildings that have survived here. Dinan is the perfect base to set out from to discover this area. There are many amazing relics and ruins that stand testiment to the ancient cultures of this region. There are many Roman ruins localy, a wonderful 13th century Abbey down by the river just along from the port, a short walk away is a 17th century village called Lehon, or along the river to the left is Taden a lovely old 16th century trading settlement. Facilities
Our two luxury apartments are holiday rentals and prepaired befor each letting ( IMPORTANT NOTE,,,,,, we may still have availability in our second apartment, even if the calender shows the apartment is let). Apartments are furnished and equipt as a home so you will have most everything that you may need while you stay . We supply fresh linen for the beds and towels and also a welcome pack. We have a representative who will meet you and show you the apartment, Anne will be on call through out your stay and will advise you on local sights of interest and comming events. There is a large amout of litriture on Dinan, local towns, history and events. We also gift a welcome pack on arival.
Activities
The area here in Brittany is famous for hikeing and cycling, sailing and just about every activity you could wish for. There is boat hire from the port in Dinan, close to the boat trip station also cycle hire fron lock n drive, and the old steam railway track is now a cycle track to Dinard and the coast. In Dinard there is every sailing/surfing and rideing hire you could imagine, also many boat trips out to and around the islands off of St Malo port. From St Malo you can take more trips including a day trip to Gurnsey. For the children there is a swimming pool with flums in Lehon 5 minuets away, and several adventure and theme parks locally and wonderful beaches.

Dinan, Brittany,,,This must be one of the best locations in europe.This part of Brittany is littered with wonderful historical towns and citys. Fougers, St Malo, Vannes,ect, the list is long.
The coast line is a constant joy with rocky out crops and sandy bays, where time has almost stood still, From Cancal to St Malo, Fort Latta to Dinard, there are some of the best coast to be found and the sea food is world renown.
Dinan a walled hill top town since the Crusaders time, is perched above Le Rance river port and is a time capsule of cobeled street, Traders houses, and royal buildings. Add to this the many artist that have made Dinan there home and have studios and galleries.
Take time and you may wander the along the ancient Walls and visit the royal keep.
Wander out of the main gate and in a few minuets you can see the oldest castle in Brittany and the beatiful old monestery at Lehon.
Its all here, many centuries of history,,, the coast, the old towns, and Boat /bike hire, boat trips, leasure parks for the children, lots of activitys to add to the mix, come and enjoy it all.

Brittany is well feed by roads to Paris or Calais. We have special offers available with discounts up to 30%.

Re discovering Little Brittan.
Named lesser or little Brittan by the Romans, after the evacuation of Britan,( many Romans were stationed over to Brittany for safety) the Romans had a viberant tradeing coast and to clarify between Britan and Brittany this area became little Britan, im a Britan in love with Little Britan, its as Britan should be, and when you come you to will agree that this is a civilised society with moral integrity, and a wonderful history and an amazing coast line.
