Farmhouse Le Marronnier is situated in the rural countryside of the Auvergne. Our holiday house, suitable for 4 persons, is dated from 1796, and built from natural stone. The thick walls and the robust beam constructions are characteristic of the old style of building from this region, Bocage Bourbonnais.
The house has been tastefully renovated, retaining the original features. In the living room there are still the 2 authentic bread-ovens. The dining-room has its original red small flagstones and in the kitchen you can walk on the large hand-cut natural flagstones. To the rear of the holiday house stands a fig-tree and your own terrace, where you can enjoy the first sun-beams and the magnificent view. If you wish we can look after you by providing a copious and delicious breakfast, complete with our home-made jam.
The house has electric heating throughout and in the living room there is also a wood-burner for your comfort on cooler days.

With the Tronçais forest nearby, Le Marronnier is an ideal starting-point for walkers and cyclists, but also perfect for people who are seeking tranquillity and space.

The holiday house is available all the year and is to let from Saturday to Saturday.
We prefer an hour of arrival after 16.00 PM and a departure time from 10.00 AM.

The holiday house, built with natural stone has robust oak beams, hand-formed red floor-tiles and 2 authentic bread-ovens. It has a surface of 104 m² and is suitable for 4 persons. To the rear of the holiday house stands a fig-tree with your own terrace, where you can enjoy the first sunbeams and the magnificent view. No smoking allowed in the house. WiFi for free.
