The recently refurbished gite is set in rural surroundings with magnificent views across the valley towards the Puy de Dome and to the lake at the side. It is close to the Forest of Colettes and the Gorges de Sioule with wonderful walks, horseriding and kayaking. The spacious living accommodation offers 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, both with beautiful views, bathroom with bath and electric shower over, and a kitchen/dining area equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer. microwave and washing machine. The sitting area has a wood burning stove, television, CD and DVD players. Outside there is a separate patio with garden furniture and barbecue as well as a swimming pool in the garden. The local bakery van brings fresh bread and croissants to the door three times a week. The owners live in the converted barn next door with their friendly labradors. Linen and towels provided as well as a welcome basket on arrival.

Horse riding, quad biking, paragliding and golf can all be done in the local area.
There are many Plan d'Eau with beaches and lakes nearby in addition to the gite's own swimming pool which guests are welcome to use during their stay.

Vichy is home to a stunning Opera house as well as it's thermal spas which are definitely worth a visit.

Nearby there is also 'Vulcania', a theme park telling the story of the region and the volcanoes which complements a visit to the stunning Puy de Dome perfectly. If you don't wish to stray far from the cottage, 'Wolframines', a geological museum is two minutes away while the dinosaur museum in Gannat is only 15 mins away.There are many excellent, reasonably priced restaurants in the area such as L'Estaminet in Lalizolle, Le Castel in Chouvigny at the top of the Gorge de la Sioule and L'Hostellerie du Chateau in nearby Bellenaves, a small town with a excellent market every Wednesday.

The gite sleeps 4 people with a double bed in bedroom 1 which has a wardrobe and chest of drawers and 2 single beds in bedroom 2, also with wardrobe and drawers. There is a folding bed available on request for a fifth person.

Use of the owner's telephone and broadband internet available on request. The property is suitable for elderly people as long as stairs are not a problem as there is no ground floor bedroom or toilet.

Bookings are secured with a £100 deposit per week, the balance being due 6 weeks before arrival.
Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer

Deposits are non returnable but bookings can be transferred to another date that year if available. Pets welcome at no extra cost. Linen, towels and electricity inclusive of price.
