Recently completely renovated apartment in St Jean de Luz, within a short walk of the beach (300m), services and shops and the main centre of the town. This apartment provides comfortable and convenient accommodation in the heart of the Basque Country. St Jean de Luz is a beautiful and popular Basque town, with large well sheltered beach and a short drive form the foot hills of the Pyrenees, excellent shopping and a fabulous old town centre.  
General Description of accommodation 
• Ground floor of traditional 2-storey building, recently completely renovated. 
• Enclosed terrace areas to front and side with access to street via gate. Large enough for barbeque, children playing, etc. 
• Kitchen and separate living area separated by an archway. 
• Two double bedrooms, each with a double bed. Living area has a “clic-clac” which can be converted at night in to an additional double bed. 
• Bathroom with bath and overhead shower. 
• Separate WC.  
• Fully furnished and equipped (including oven, microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, TV, etc.). 
• Bed linen is not provided (you will need towels and sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, etc.). Pillows and duvets are provided 
• Services - costs of electricity, gas and water are included in the rent.

Restaurants 
There are a lot of restaurants to choose from - we have been rarely in a bad one! Good list is available on the internet at: http://www.saint-jean-de-luz.com/hebergements/enrestaurants.html 
Seafood is the real speciality. The most expensive restaurants are located around the centre of the old town on rue de la République - but all are very good. Many of the restaurants off the side streets are great also - and cheaper. For example, places we like include Chez Théo, 25 rue de l'Abbé Onaïndia; Bar Basque, 22 Bld theirs; and for v. good pizza and salads Pizzeria La Cueva 32, rue Garat. 
Shopping 
Main shopping (for gifts, clothes, etc.) is in one long pedestrianised street - rue Gambetta.  
Note there is a supermarket, bakery, bar, etc. very close to the apartment in the direction of the beach.

25% deposit payable with the reservation. The balance is payable at least 2 weeks before the arrival date. Cancellation will lead to the loss of deposit and the full fee once the balance has been paid. Payment is by Euro or sterling cheque or by electronic transfer (we accept payment in Euro or Sterling - for Sterling the rate is agreed on a case by case basis).
