Les Granges is an old Bearnaise farmhouse, with recently renovated barns, offering 3 self-contained holiday gites. Situated at the foothills of the Pyrenees, with stunning views of the mountains, sleeps max 16 adults + babies! A great base for a 'get together'. Rent individually, we offer semf-contained ggites of 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedrooms, each with it's own private terrace or balcony.

Our 3 self-contained gites divide as a 1 bedroom gite (1 double bed and double sofabed in lounge), 2 bedroom gite (one double room and 1 twin room) and a 3 bedroom gite (2 double rooms, 1 twin room with double sofabed), extra beds/cots available for babies/children. Therefore, in total, there are 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms/shower rooms, 5 toilets, 3 lounge/dining room/kitchens, playroom, utility room. Outdoor space includes terraces, large gardens and pool with sundeck area and parking.

Les Granges is located in the pretty village of Ance, which is 10 mins from the local market town of Oloron Ste Marie,which has a beautiful cathedral and the main Gave d'Oloron running through it. There are many restaurants and shops and the local market runs on Friday mornings.

A wealth of acitivities, you can enjoy cycling, walking, fishing, swimming, climbing, parapenting, horse riding, quad biking, kayaking, skiing and lots more! The scenery is stunning with the mountains and trees and waterfalls and the birds of prey soaring the skies. The beaches of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz are about an hour and half away and Spain is less than an hour. The city of Pau, the capital of the Béarn region, is about an hour and has cobbled streets and boutiques. Lourdes is about an hour and half.

This really is a stunning area to explore and is easily accessible and is central to a wealth of activities. The gîte are a 'home from home', being well furnished and equipped with beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views of the mountains.

Aquabearn Water Park, 20 mins drive, with slides, pools, picnic areas, restaurants, etc. Olorn pool with indoor and outdoor pools, slides, picnic area, etc is 10 min drive and local outdoor pool 5 min drive. Aquabearn and the local pool is seasonal only from June to September.
Adventure Park, 10 min drive, with harness and safety equipment you climb through the trees and can abseil and bungee jump, if you want! Quad biking, 4x4 off-roading and go-carting 10 min drive, mainly for adolescents and adults. Rock climbing, kayaking and white water rafting are 15/20 mins away. The amazing Gorge de Kakouetta is about 30 mins drive, where you can walk through the Gorge with its waterfalls and flowing river, stop for a picnic and take in the view. There is horse riding, skiing,parascending, fishing and lots more! Golf at Pau, play the oldest golf course in mainland Europe.

The gites are situated at the foothills of the Pyrénées in the Béarn region of South West France, 10 km from the market town of Oloron Ste Marie, the town where the French beret was invented! Famous for it's local produce of 'brebis' cheese, Madiran and Jurançon wines, garbure (soup) and of course the mountains, the area is rural France at its best.

The gites are well furnished with exposed beams and stonework.

Low Season Price : €1200
High Season Price : €2000 per Week

€500 non-returnable deposit payable on booking. For short breaks payment required in full at time of booking. Balance payable 6-weeks prior to the holiday start date.

Preferred method of payment is by credit/debit card via Paypal (15€ surcharge added), although we can accept euros paid direct into our French bank account. Please contact us for details.

For weekly holiday lets, 250€ breakables deposit payable on arrival, returned at the end of the holiday, subject to everything being in order.
