2 Bedroom Cottage in Pau

We have renovated Gite Alexandre to a high standard and have 3 stars from the Tourist board. It is a very peaceful location with beautiful views of the Pyrenees from the garden. You share the opening of the drive with us but have your own parking and private garden, you have use of the swimming pool and pool house.
We have been in France since 2002 & have renovated Gite Alexandre ourselves which took us 3years. As Keith is a perfectionist. As we holiday in France & rented many Gites when we renovated ours we remembered all what we wanted when we stayed in a Gite & very rarely had. So we have 2 bedrooms both with ensuite & downstairs loo, a English Kitchen & for when it's a wet day English & French TV. We have a lot of repeat bookings as we try to give all our guest the experience of France & why we live here. We are 20 mins from the lovely city of Pau with it's beautiful chateau & grounds We also have motorbikes so we are interested in biking as the roads & mountains in this area are just lovely. Of course they are also good if you are on a push bike or in a car.
Why we chose a home in this location.
As soon as we stepped out of the car we knew we were going to buy it. The beautiful view of the Pyrenees the lovely blue sky. We had come to the area in 2000 for 6 months & knew it was right for us, all we had to do was find the correct property. We are in a small village called Simacourbe 20mins north of Pau so it is very relaxing & quite but if you want a bit more life then you can go to many of the local village Fetes or a 20 mins drive into Pau for the Boulevard to Pyrenees where you can enjoy many bars & have a lovely view at the same time. We have got bars & restaurants nearer to us in Lalongue Lembeye & other villages where you can sample the local food of this area. We are also close to many vineyards where you are able to taste the local wines which are superb.

Everyone who has stayed has said that our photo's do not do the Gite justice & it is of a very high standard. We also have a lot of repeat bookings which have now become very good friends & 1 family have even bought a house close buy as they loved the area so much. We have a beautiful view of the Pyrenees from the garden & a 12x6 salt pool with a pool house which has a outside kitchen & BBQ. If you fly we are 20mins from Pau airport, if you drive then there are many French ports to choose from, also Santander & Bilbao in spain. When you arrive you will have a welcome pack. We are 20min from Pau 35min from Lourdes, 1hr from the Pyrenees National park, 1hr 30 from Biarritz & 3hrs 30 to the Med so as you can see this area has so much to offer, you can relax by the pool or explore.

It has its own private garden with BBQ and parking a 12x6m salt swimming pool with a equipped pool house with BBQ Bedroom 1 double bed Room for a cot. Bedroom 2 twin beds An extra bed can be added to this room. Bathrooms Both bedrooms have en-suites which have sink toilet and shower There is also a downstairs loo. Kitchen We have a circular table A breakfast bar Crockery cutlery cooking utensils fridge with small freezer inside elec oven and hob microwave kettle coffee maker hoover washing machine iron & board clothes airer A comfortable lounge to relax and has English and French TV DVD and video player CD player range of books in English and French all for you to use and enjoy. All bedding is included and all towels including pool towels are included. The property is cleaned on a Saturday and if staying 2 weeks bedding and towels are changed weekly. A welcome pack is included with Tea coffee milk sugar cereal butter eggs bread and jam.
