Welcome to Green Bike PyreneesWe are a small and friendly English/French speaking company offering accommodation and/or self-guided cycling tours for all abilities in the Pyrenees Atlantiques, in the Vallee d'Oussau on the border of the Bearn and Pays Basque. As part of our service, we offer free advice, local information, mechanical services and free use of our cycling workshop.
The Pyrenees Atlantiques offer the best of both worlds, mountain and sea, with amazing roads for cycling, nature for walkers, high altitude trails for runners and triathletes as well as natural lakes and the opportunity of spending the day on the Atlantic Coast (Biarritz, St. Jean de Luz) - just one hour away.
Whether you want to come cycling for leisure through the countryside and escape the rat race or prepare strenuously for your cycling or triathlon season, riding through challenging cols or Etape du Tour, we provide you with the accommodation and the technical support while on the road. We aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible, leaving you the choice to choose the relaxing or training option!
During the winter season you can choose between down-hill ski, cross country ski or snow shoes, the closest stations being 30 minutes away with the shuttle from the village.
Whatever you choose in this rural part of France, the views are superb and traffic free, the food and drinks are excellent and very good value.

Location, Location...
The Pyrenean valleys are deep and through them you can access cols opening to Spain. The Vallee d'Ossau offers a variety of landscapes from the valley to the high mountain. It is particularly wonderful with, in altititude, its protected areas such as The National Park of the Pyrenees and its famous Pic du Midi d'Ossau. This is a reserve for nature and animals that you will enjoy either walking or cycling.

We offer the ideal combination of mountains and sea sites. We receive you in our traditional chalet and because we are a small business we can cater for your individual needs.
The chalet is based in the Vallee d'Ossau, on the outskirts of the village of Louvie-Juzon at a 420m altitude, just on the track of the Tour de France! We are surrounded by cols frequently part of the Tour de France (Marie Blanque (1305m), l'Aubisque (1709m), le Soulor (1474m) and others like La Pierre St Martin (1650m), le col du Pourtalet (1794m).
Some background information on Louvie-Juzon:
The origins of the name Louvie-Juzon come from the presence of wolves in the area. Today Louvie Juzon is more known for its church where certain parts are dated from the 16th century. The Baroque organ is known as a historical monument and Louvie-Juzon is known for holding summer concerts each year with international players and choirs during the "Estives Musicales Internationales."
Within walking distance (800m), you can visit at leisure the local patisserie famous for its cakes and mousses, eat and drink at our local bar "La Taniere" or choose our local restaurant or pizzeria. Within a short drive more restaurants are offering you tempting menus in the surrounding villages.

Within the next villages there is an outdoor swimming pool (June to the end of August) and an indoor pool open all year and Aqua Bearn at 20 km. The Lac de Baudreix is a water leisure complex only 28km away which has a beach, aquatic toboggan, canoeing, kayaking, horse riding and a picnic area

B&B with continental breakfast - en suite bedrooms are furnished with double beds or twin beds: €47 per night for 2 people €41 per night for 1 person includes complementary tea and coffee. Each ensuite has its own hair dryer. Deposit For B&B only, 20% deposit is requested at the time of booking and is not refundable. The remaining amount is paid on site before the completion of your stay. For cycling tours, €150 per person is requested at the time of booking and is not refundable. We will send you a receipt in order to confirm the booking. Final Payment Please note that the whole booking balance needs to be paid 8 weeks before the starting date of your stay. Should your booking be made within 8 weeks of your arrival date, you will have to pay the total amount of your stay. Please note that for more flexibility, bike rental can be paid at the time of booking or on site.
