Beautiful restored house of the XVII century, in a charming village providing all necessary services, good shopping, markets & facilities. The house is very peaceful & offers a private parking lot and a nice garden, in the very heart of the village. The kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, fridge, big oven & 5 ring stove, micro-wave, bread toaster...) & opens on a large dining-room. The decoration is lovely & the house shelters some antique pieces of furniture. The dining-room opens up on a large terrace furnished with 2 'salons de jardin'. On the same floor, you will find a cloakroom, toilets & a room with the washing machine. With its 4 bedrooms, the house can very comfortably accommodate up to 8 persons (2 large beds, 4 twin beds). The bathrooms are decorated with Arabic tiles & offer either a large shower or a bath. In the large living room, you will find a colour TV set, with a video & DVD recorder. A second colour TV is available on the second floor.

4 bedrooms , sleeps maximum of 8 people The Yellow bedroom is located on the first floor, close to the first bathroom with toilets. It contains a double bed and a large ancient wardrobe. Walls are nicely decorated and match the yellow bedspread. The three other bedrooms are located on the second floor. Coming up the stairs, you find the children's sitting room with a colour TV set and lots of videos and books available for guests' use. On the same floor are other toilets and a bathroom. In the blue bedroom, you will find 2 old-style single beds with nice bedspreads & a big cupboard. The African bedroom is entirely decorated with souvenirs brought back from Africa, & it contains a large bed, a wardrobe and a desk. In the last bedroom, decorated with painted flowers, there are 2 superposed single beds, a large wardrobe & a desk. Bolsters, pillows & blankets are provided for each bed. All mattresses are brand new.

Arudy is the entrance gate to the beautiful 'vallée d'Ossau', in the National Park of the Pyrénées. You may enjoy observing vultures in the nearby village of Aste-Béon, walking in the mountains among wonderful sceneries, fishing trouts or salmons in the Ossau river, bathing in mountain lakes or rivers or discover small typical béarnais villages all around Arudy. If you are interested in local history, visit the museum in Arudy. You can also practice plenty of sports in Arudy or nearby, go to the swimming-pool (5 mn walk from home), play tennis... Don't forget to visit the ancient city of Oloron (17 kms) and its 2 cathedrals, the city of Pau (25 kms) with the castle of Henry the IVth and lots of fashionable shops. During wintertime, Gourette & Artouste ski resorts will offer the whole family excellent facilities & good value. During summertime, take a ride through the mountain in the highest train in Europe in Artouste.

25% of the total amount is requested on booking. Total amount is due on arrival day. Payment can be done by SWIFT transfer, by paypal or by cash. The deposit is not refundable in case of cancellation. The prices can be lowered for 4 people or less occupying the house. There is also a possibility to pay in british £. Bedsheets and towels are available on demand (10 euros per person). Final cleaning is included in the price. Cleaning during the rental period may be negotiated, as well as ironing if necessary.
