Moulin de Lartigue is a very special place. Its unique well equipped accommodation is set in 12 acres of meadows on the River Dropt. There's plenty of opportunity for fun & relaxation for all ages in the superb pool (15m x 8m); sauna; fishing; BBQ's at sunset. 
 
Once one of 66 water mills along the River Dropt, Moulin de Lartigue is accessed by a long private drive and set in 12 acres of parkland. The spacious (140 sq.m) 2 bedroom Quercy cottage is nearly 500 years old and has a private terrace & BBQ, overlooking the well tended grounds, providing accommodation for up to 6 people. The original features of colombage walls, fireplaces, stone sink, vaulted oak ceilings and mezzanine reflect a fascinating history. 
 
As well as the pool - great for swimming laps or playing games; the fishing on site & pine sauna, there's space for cricket, boules, table tennis or a leisurely walk along the river.  
 
Whilst we’re secluded, the Bastide town of Villereal is a convenient 5 minute drive to cater for all your gastronomic needs including supermarkets, restaurants, markets etc. Our guests frequently describe their holiday setting as "Paradise" and always express that 2 weeks just isn't enough time to take advantage of all that Lartigue and this area of SW France has to offer.

    • The Quercy, is a beautiful traditional cottage with vaulted ceiling, mezzanine, colombage walls and large fireplaces. Well equipped & sympathetically restored to provide modern comfortable living, whilst retaining its delightful original features. This large cottage has a private terrace with BBQ. •Kitchen/Dining Room with modern appliances, large dining table, fireplace, ornamental original stone sink, door to terrace; •2 spacioius Double Bedrooms; •Bathroom: bath, separate shower, wc and double wash hand basin; •Living Room with vaulted ceiling, fireplace with wood burner, doors to garden, stairs up to •Mezzanine; •Study area (sofa bed) located below the (curtained) mezzanine;

    • Moulin de Lartigue is located conveniently to many activities nearby. For the golfer there is a Championship course at Villeneuve; horse riding; cycle hire at Villereal; wine tours; prehistoric caves; gardens; walking; boating on the Dordogne and Lot; and much more too varied to list here. 
     
    On site, as well as the Pool, we have: 
     
    Pine Sauna: Located near the pool. 
    Fishing: available on the River Dropt which borders the property for half a mile, on the Canal and small Lake. Many species including pike, zander, bream, roach, dace, perch 
    Fields & Meadows surround the property, providing plenty of space for energetic sports - badminton, table tennis & boules - or take a leisurely stroll away from it all! 
    Laundry Facilities located in the Mill House 
    Pony rides for the "little peop's" - Hooghly, Gitane & Pomponette 
    Free range eggs, home made jam/marmalade & locally produced wine for you try.

    • Travel Info: Easy access from many UK airports. Bergerac is only 30 mins drive. Toulouse & Bordeaux approx. 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Hire car available at all airports. "Drive Time" approx. 10 - 12 hours from Calais (Tunnel/Ferry).

    2010 will be our 6th season welcoming guests to Moulin de Lartigue. Many have become good friends we look forward to welcoming back each year and new guests express they'd like to visit next year and are booking on their return home. They breath a sigh of relief upon arriving "home" and express with delight that it is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. We make every effort to ensure our facilities are always immaculately presented and being on site are happy to help our guests in any way, or leave you in peace to relax. We always recommend booking early, in particular during high season.
