Domaine de France includes a restored mid 19th century Maison de Maitre, a converted barn and swimming pool set in 13 acres on the edge of the medieval village of Penne d'Agenais, Lot et Garonne. Come and enjoy our warm hospitality and accommodation either in Chambre d’Hotes (B&B) or in one of our 3 Gites. “A perfect stop”, “The most beautiful and peaceful place we’ve ever stayed at in France” – just two quotes from recent visitors.  
Our spacious self catering gites have accommodation for a group of up to 15 people or can be rented individually. Racachi (featured here)is a fully equipped spacious 2 bedroomed gite (72 m²) with large split level sejour, kitchen, bathroom with WC, private terrace for dining/ BBQ, large garden. Le Rosier is a fully equipped spacious 2 bedroomed gite (65 m²) with large living room, raised corner kitchen, bathroom with WC, use of large garden. La Petite Maison is a fully equipped, open plan one-bedroomed gite with large living room, corner kitchen, totalling 40 m² (plus mezzanine). The property lies just 2 minutes drive or 10-15 minutes walk from the picturesque village of Penne d'Agenais, 10 kms from Villeneuve sur Lot. The tranquil rural situation will ensure you have a quiet relaxing break. 
Please ask about walking holidays as there are numerous marked walks which we can point you to so you can discover the hidden areas which are only seen on foot (or bike of course).

The games room is available to visitors where they can play french billiards, babyfoot and table tennis as well as make use of the adult fitness machines, board games, library, and research attractions both closeby and further afield. We have extensive grounds in which to wonder, sunbathe, hide in the shade, play with the sports equipment provided or with their own. Barbeques are provided along with outside furniture on the patio. We provide a welcome pack (which includes a bottle of local wine)on arrival. Provisions can be ordered for your arrival. A morning bread and croissant delivery is available daily. We can even arrange for a 'traiteur' to come and cook an odd meal for you. You are welcome to join in the weekly barbeque cooked by the owners once a week.

Nearby facilities include the tennis club 500m away and many marked cycling and walking routes. The Chemin de Compostelle passes through Penne d'Agenais. The many gastronomic delights of the area include local weekly markets, numerous restaurants, foie gras and prune museums, chocolate shops etc. We are ideally situated for day trips to Bergerac and the Dordogne, Bordeaux, Toulouse and the different wine growing areas including Duras, St Emillion, Cahors, Bordeaux, and Buzet to name but a few. 
We are one kilometre from the River Lot where visitors can hire motor boats, rowing boats and try canoe/kayaking. We are situated at the lower end of the Valley du Lot where the waters are calm and smooth. Up river towards Cahor and beyond the gorge provides dramatic scenery and more challenging kayaking. 
The local medieval hilltop villages and numerous chateaux of the area, provide visitors with a real insight into the history of teh area.

The tarifs quoted are for Racachi our biggest & most expensive gite. High season bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Clients pay a non refundable deposit of 30% on booking the gite . The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Clients are advised to take out holiday insurance policies to cover such eventualities as cancellation. Payment can be in Euros or £ sterling, by cheque or bank transfer. Sorry for the time being we cannot accept creit cards. Long and short term rates available, please ask. Prices quoted are for the large gite.
