Monflanquin is a beautiful mediaeval hilltop `bastide` village. It is classified as `L`un des plus beaux villages de France` and elected `one of the top ten villages in France` by the Daily Telegraph travel writers. When one sees the beautiful vaulted arches in the central square, one can understand why. It is a thriving village supporting all the servces you require - bank, post office, doctors, butchers, bakers, bars and a wide choice of restaurants. There is a good sized Casino supermarket, and the Thursday market has been operating for over 750 years! `Volets Bleus` is a very private wing of our own home. The lounge window overlooks the pool, just a few metres away.
French windows open onto the covered terrace and the garden. Anything growing in the organic garden is available to holiday makers - just help yourself!
Although we have lovely country views, and are peacefully situated, we are within walking distance of the village. No need to drive after a good restaurant meal.
The nearest restaurant is about 400 metres away, and the nearest golf club about a 20 minute drive away.
