Stunning Farmhouse situated between St. Emilion, Bergerac and Duras. Self catering for up to 12 people. 5/6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Farmhouse situated in 15 acres with fantastic 360 degree views of adjoining vines & countryside. Total privacy and relaxation. Ideal set up for two families with au pair or granny with en suite bedroom and bathroom on ground floor too. Huge farmhouse kitchen with all mod cons seats 12, two external terraces (one covered), tables seat another 12 & 10. Two sitting rooms. Alarmed 6m x 12m pool, floodlit Boules pitch. Bergerac and St Foy La Grand 10 miles for serious shops, Loubes Bernac (2 miles) for bread, mini Intermache and local bistro. Restaurants everywhere. Golf at Chateau des Vigiers, horse riding, fishing, tennis, canoeing - all within 5 or 6 miles. Drive down La Tuilliere's 300 yard lane, over the bridge (pull up the drawbridge -metaphorically speaking) and drive up the avenue to a real piece of paradise. Total peace & relaxation.

There is no Air Conditioning at La Tuilliere but with walls approximately 2' thick, the house is always cool, even this summer (2009), where we have had wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 30s since May. Outside there are lots of shady trees, hammocks and the pool of course to help cool you down.

*Golf at the wonderful Chateau des Vigiers (www.vigiers.com) is just 6 miles from the house.

*Kayaking, canoeing and boating on the Dordorge just 8 miles away.
*Hiking, walking and biking all around. (There are 5 bikes at La Tuilliere and more can be hired).

*Our neighbour (fully qualified ballonist)can also set you off for a journey of a lifetime in his hot air balloon from our front garden).

Getting to La Tuilliere is easy. 8 hours from the Chunnel or 6 hours from St Malo by car. There are also many cheap flights with Ryanair and Flybe from many UK provincial airports direct to Bergerac, which is just 30 minutes from the house.

All bedrooms were totally redecorated in 2007 and new carpets were also laid in March 2007. Three of the five bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Cupboards and wardrobes are in all bedrooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms have electric heating (only necessary November to March). Most of the beds and wardrobes are old French 19th C with a lot of charm.

The two ensuite bathrooms on the first floor are huge. Both contain baths, bidets and a large double shower which were installed in 2009. The ground floor ensuite shower room does not have a bath.

There are two lounges at La Tuilliere. The kitchen has a huge table which seats 12. There is a similar table under the covered terrace which accommodates another 12 and a third dining table on the front terrace caters for a further 10 people. In the summer the majority of meals are taken under the covered terrace at lunchtime or on the front terrace, with the sunset, in the evenings.
