Stunning Farmhouse situated between St. Emilion, Bergerac and Duras. Self catering for up to 12 people. 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Farmhouse situated in 15 acres with fantastic 360 degree views of adjoining vines & countryside. Total privacy and relaxation. Ideal set up for two families with au pair or granny with two en suite bedrooms and bathrooms on ground floor. Huge farmhouse kitchen with all mod cons seats 12, two external terraces (one covered), tables seat another 12 & 10. State of the Art heated, salt pool 6m x 14m pool with electric security cover, floodlit Boules pitch. Bergerac and St Foy La Grande c.10 miles for serious shops, Loubes Bernac (2 miles) for bread, mini Intermache and local bistro. Restaurants everywhere. Golf at Chateau des Vigiers, horse riding, fishing, tennis, canoeing - all within 5 or 6 miles. Drive down La Tuilliere's 300 yard lane, over the bridge (pull up the drawbridge -metaphorically speaking) and drive up the avenue to a real piece of paradise. Total peace & relaxation. 
 
There is no Air Conditioning at La Tuilliere but with walls approximately 2' thick, the house is always cool, even this summer, where we have had wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 30s between May and September. Outside there are lots of shady trees, hammocks and the pool to help cool you down. 
 
All linen is 100% Egyptian Cottom and totally renewed in 2010. 
 
There is a Renault Megane available to hire for limited use. Please refer for details. 
 
We can provide a private chef for you at any time.

    • Bedrooms and bathrooms were all refurbished in 2011 along with new carpets. Cupboards and wardrobes are in all bedrooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms have electric heating (only necessary November to March). Most of the beds and wardrobes are old French 19th C with a lot of charm. The two ensuite bathrooms on the first floor are huge. Both contain baths, bidets and a large double shower which were installed in 2009. Both ground floor bedrooms have ensuite facilities. The lounge is 8m x 5m. The kitchen has a huge table which seats 12. There is a similar table under the covered terrace which accommodates another 12 and a third brand new Westminster woven oval dining table on the front terrace caters for a further 12 people. In the summer the majority of meals are taken under the covered terrace at lunchtime or on the front terrace, with the sunset, in the evenings.

    • *Golf at the wonderful Chateau des Vigiers (www.vigiers.com) is just 6 miles from the house. 
    *Tennis can be played at St Jean de Duras (2 miles) or Chateau des Vigiers.

    *Kayaking, canoeing and boating on the Dordorge just 8 miles away. 
    *Hiking, walking and biking all around. (There are 5 bikes at La Tuilliere and more can be hired). 
    *Fishing all around and at Chateau des Vigiers. 
    *Horse riding within minutes of the house. 
    *Our neighbour (fully qualified ballonist)can also set you off for a journey of a lifetime in his hot air balloon from our front garden). 
     
    *Hi speed wi-fi broadband, complimentary internet, computer, printer & a perfect mobile signal are available in the house.

    • Travel Info: Bergerac is the closest airport and served by FlyBe and Ryanair from various locations in the UK. In addition Bordeaux is also very convenient and both British Airways and Easy Jet fly there from Luton and Gatwick. We are 40 minutes from Libourne which is the closest station where the TGV can be taken to and from Paris. From Calais, by road it is c.8 to 9 hours. From St Malo it is nearer 6 hours driving.
