The villa or chateau was built in 1905, it has 3 floors plus a full basement, area per floor ca 220 sqm or 2500 sq ft. the structure is impressive without being overwhelming. It has been totally renovated in 2001 by the present owners and offers now the most modern comfort while retaining its original architectural and decorative features.
In a nutshell:
ground floor: large tiled entrance hall, 3 receptions with oak parquet floor, walls wood paneling, moulded ceilings, marble fire places , oriental rugs, crystal chandeliers; a modern kitchen with adjoining dining room with a table for 12-14; a computer room with WiFi connection and a majestic reading hall with an impressive oak staircase leading to the first floor.
First floor : 4 bedrooms with en suite full baths(2 shower, 2 tub);all with double beds ( 2 queens, 2 regular)
Second floor: 2 bed rooms sharing one full bath plus one 1/2 bath ( twin bed in one , 2 single beds in the other)
Basement: second kitchen more rustic with professional stove, fire place for in house BBQ, large farm table in a cosy atmosphere of tiled floor, exposed beams and stone work. This kitchen opens at garden level on a terrace and the rest of the premises. A "servant" stair case allows access to all floors. Next to the kitchen is a play area with a pool table and a table foot ball. Elsewhere there is the laundry room and the ironing room;
Outside: mature gardens where centenary trees provide shade, a walking alley leading to the pool. The pool itself is solar heated and measures 6 X 13,5 m (20 X 150 ft); it is surrounded by a 100 sqm tiled terrace. Lounge chairs are available. A renovated barn offers a 120 sqm play area; it hosts a table tennis outfit and other games.
