Excellent new Gite, decorated to a high standard, place on the edge of a small hamlet, in a magnificent location offering peace and relaxation, surrounded by beautifully kept vineyards and quiet lanes yet only 10 minutes from both Castillon la Bataille and Saint Emilion.
Main living area is open plan and spacious, well equipped for easy living and all that is required for a wonderful self catering holiday.
Modern kitchen has plenty of cooking facilities and work space, the dining area has a large oak table with seating for 6 people and a set of french doors opening onto the back aspect, private garden, sun terrace and pool.
The lounge has two large comfortable settees and a second set of french doors opening on to the front aspect where you can sit and enjoy the panoramic views of the local vineyards, watch a dvd or read a book.
Off the kitchen is a utility room with sink and washing facilities.
There are three double bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite facilities with large walk in shower. Two further bedrooms have two single beds in each.
The family bathroom also has an over-bath shower, there is also a further separate toilet. Available is a travel cot for small baby whose weight is no more than 14kgs and are less than 850mm in height, own linen please.
Outside is a large lawned garden, with young laurel hedging, sun terrace for sunbathing and alfresco dining. A large 5 meter x 10 meter salt water pool has roman steps and alarm and is constructed from thermal blocks to keep the heat in. Off road parking.
The property has heating throughout, so can be enjoyed at anytime of year, not just the summer months.
All linen and towels, including pool towels are supplied in the price and are 100% Egyptian cotton.
Beds are fitted with hypo-allergic pillows and duvets.

Papillon is an open plan property well equipped with plenty cooking utensils,matching crockery and glasses, it has a multifunction oven, ceramic hob, larder fridge with small freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher and ample work space.The utility room has a sink, washing machine, iron and ironing board. The lounge has a tv for watching dvds and videos, some dvds and videos are supplied for use during your stay along with a selection of books, board games and small collection of toys. Satellite TV planned for summer 2012. All bedrooms have double wardrobes, bedside table and lamp. Available is a travel cot (restrictions apply), potty and trainer seat. Outside furniture consists of table, parasol and 6 chairs. Sunbeds.

The property is surrounded by vineyards with opportunity to enjoy tasting the wine,it is also in easy reach of many towns, villages and even the coast for a day out. World famous Saint Emilion is only a short drive away and steeped in history, wonderful gift shops and restaurants. Castillon la Bataille is 10 minutes away with a large E.Leclerc supermarket open 7 days a week.In the town you can see an reenactment every July and August of the battle that ended the 100 year war with England. Saint Foy le Grande is a pretty town along the Gironde River,with ancient houses and lovely boutiques.Bordeaux is under an hour away with no less than 8 museums.Arcachon coastline is easily reached for a day by the sea, famous for its oyster beds.
A market can be found close by every day of the week. Come in the Autumn for the grape harvest or at Christmas and enjoy the christmas market in Libourne and see Pére Noël, his elves and real Reindeer.

We chose this area because it is positioned perfectly no matter what type of holiday you plan.
It is in a quiet location perfect for relaxing.
Close to amenities and if you enjoy French markets, you can easily visit a different one everyday.
Plenty of activities can be found in the surrounding towns and villages.
Bergerac and Bordeaux can both be easily reached within an hour.
Wine can easily be purchased locally from the many local vineyards, some within walking distance.

Prices are in UK pounds per week. We are willing to consider Euros. Changeover day is Saturday. Other days may be considered during off peak season. The accommodation will be available from 5pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. 25% non refundable deposit is required when booking.
