Set down a long drive, this charming house is set on a 100 hectare family estate and is surrounded by park and farmland. A separate self contained apartment sleeps 2 and is available to rent together with the main house (see rental rates). There is a fabulous swimming pool set in a walled courtyard with covered eating out area and summer kitchen. There is also a terrace with the most stunning view. This is in an idyllic, peaceful location and yet close to all amenities. Nearest village is Rauzan with a restaurant, 2 bakers, butcher, general store, patisserie, pharmacy, post office, bank etc. Branne and Sauveterre are within easy distance where there are large supermarkets. St Emilion is 15 minutes away with all sorts of fantastic restaurants. This is an ideal base from which to explore the wine areas of Bordeaux. 
Entre-deux-mers has undulating hillsides covered in vines, woodland and pasture. It is undoubtedly the prettiest area around Bordeaux, and that together with high sunshine makes it an ideal holiday destination. 
The area is steeped in history and there are charming bastide towns with open air markets, Roman churches, and the battle of Castillon is re-enacted every summer. 
Saint Emilion is a world heritage site and really worth a visit. Not only is the architecture and honey coloured stone so beautiful, but there is a very special atmosphere here. It is home to some of the best restaurants in the area. There is a beach on the lake at Blasimon, several golf courses less than 30 minutes away and a cycle track from Bordeaux to Sauveterre along the former railway track. Enjoy the region's varied festivals and night markets during the summer months sampling local delicacies and trying the wines. Many of the wine chateaux will let you visit and taste their wines. Bordeaux has some wonderful shopping too!

Fully fitted kitchen comprised of 2 stainless steel sinks, gas hob, extractor, microwave, oven, large fridge, and terracotta tiles on the floor.  
 
Ground floor bedroom (2 single beds) has French windows onto the terrace, terracotta tiles, and en-suite bathroom comprised of bath and washbasin set into a vanity unit. Cupboard. Heated towel rail. 
Separate WC with hand basin. 
This bedroom has a mezzanine above where an older child could sleep. (1 single bed) 
 
First floor 
Mezzanine bedroom (60m2) with double bed (160cm) has parquet floor and en-suite shower room comprised of tiled shower cabin, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail.
