Vacation Rental Description
There are 3 separate Bed and Breakfast rooms available in the main farmhouse, 2 doubles and a twin room. The bathroom facilities are only shared between friends & family. Otherwise guest have sole use of the bathroom. One bedroom has it's own terrace balcony for enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the setting sun. All rooms are quiet with views over the garden or countryside, the beds are firm and equipped with nets for the summer months.
There is also a wheelchair accessable bedroom with en-suite adapted shower and W.C., a wheel in shower chair can be provided. The breakfast room and sitting room can be accessed
Guests have their own breakfast area and sitting room equipped with a TV for DVDs, there is a refridgerator,and tea and coffee making facilities.A BBQ can be made available, as well as a cold box, iron and ironing board. WiFi internet access and computer available free.
Enjoy organic homemade jams and fruit for breakfast from our own garden. As well as continental style breakfast, we can offer cooked breakfasts on request.
Bed and Breakfast guests have use of the main swimming pool 16 x 14 metres and Hot Tub (adults only), shared with guests staying at La Vigne Gite (8 people).
The perfect location for enjoying a tranquil relaxing break. We have 9 acres of garden and grounds, surrounded by vineyards and forests. There is no fixed breakfast time, we arrange that with you, as the idea is to de-stress.
La Source is our main residence at Maison Arc-en-ciel but we have our own area of the house that is separate to guests staying in Bed and Breakfast rooms.
Table d'hote (evening meal) is available on request. We offer 4 course meals including wine or beer for 20 euros per person. Vegetarian meals available too.
Facilities
Guest have an outside dining area too with their own BBQ.
Activities
Wine tasting is what the area is truely about and we can arrange tours of local vineyards for you.

- Travel Info: Local shops are just 1.5kms away in Montcaret. There is a restaurant there too. Bordeaux airport is 55kms. TGV from Paris to Libourne 33kms.

Myself and Two friends stayed here for Three nights recently and what a wonderful experience it was .
We found the service from Sue and Cath to be magical , with fantastic meals prepared to perfection for us in the evening . The breakfasts where perfect too !
We enjoyed the swimming pool and the lovely surroundings and location of this beautiful old house , and really appreciated in particular the trouble that our hosts took to cater to our needs in a professional and discreet manner .
We loved the location of this place as it allowed us to cycle to lovely towns like Saint Emilion and St Foy La Grande and still return in time later the same day for a relaxing swim !
Our stay here really made our holiday. Have no doubts , if you are considering staying here just book it !

We stayed here for two nights in July 2010, it was the most fantastic place, the rooms were lovely, that atmosphere was wonderful. Went wine tasting just up the road. We were made to feel so welcome by Sue and Cathy and would heartedly recommend a stay here for complete relaxation.

Life in the slow lane
Having worked in the public sector in the UK for many years I understand stress! My partner and I decided to step off the treadmill and try our hand at living in France and offering good quality accommodation for rental. We renovated in the first year with the help of friends and family and can now offer a self catering gite and bed and breakfast accommodation. The gite has wheelchair access. We grow our own fruit and make organic jams for use at breakfast time. It is hard work but very satisfying and the slower pace of life has taken years off us!!
Come and see for yourselves our calm and peaceful retreat. It is in one of the most famous wine regions of the world. So if peace and quiet, good food and wine are the order of the day, you will not find a better place.
