This is small terraced town house situated just off (about 30 yards) the market square of this 13th Century bastide town, more of which can be seen at http://pagesperso-orange.fr/miquelet.monsegur/html/visitmonseg.htm.  
 
This is an ideal base from which to explore the Aquitaine. There are a number of bars and restaurants as well as shops which cater for most needs. There is a small cinema in the town which shows excellent films, sometimes even before they come out in the UK! and a town swimming pool and tennis courts. Monsegur is a lively town at all times of the year and hosts a Jazz festival the first weekend of July. 
 
The house is fully furnished with 2 reasonably sized upstairs bedrooms each with a double bed and a shared shower/toilet room. The entry to the house is directly off the street into the sitting room leading to the dining area and then continues into the kitchen that opens onto a small but nicely laid out south facing walled patio garden. 
There is UK Satellite TV and broadband in the house.

    • The two storey terraced townhouse has sitting room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. There are two large bedrooms and shower/toilet on the first floor. The rear of the house has a small south facing walled garden with table and chairs and barbecue. There is a view from the rear bedroom over the landscape and the house is light and airey. In the square there are three bars, two restaurants and a boulangerie (bakers)and other shops, banks etc. Within the the village there is a cinema, swimming pool and many other amenities. This hilltop town has a long history dating from before Eléanor d'Aquitaine and more history can be found on the local website http://www.tourisme.fr/tourist-office/monsegur-33.htm The town has developed an interest in Jazz - organising a festival over the first weekend of July, and specialising in Jazz at the local secondary school.

    • This is an ideal spot from which to explore the Gironde by car,bicycle or on foot. You can see the churches that the early pilgrims of St. Jacques de la Compostelle prayed in on their journey as they used to rest in this region before crossing the Garonne at La Réole on thier way to Spain go wine tasting at the many chateaux in the area or just relax in on of the many market towns.

    We like to take 20% of the booking fee to confirm the reservation with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. We also take a £50 cleaning deposit which is totally refundable if you leave the house clean and in the condition in which you found it. The price includes linen, all electricity, gas, water, broadband internet etc. For longer lettings please contact the owner.
