Vacation Rental Description
Les Buddleias is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Le Bost Vieux, 3 miles from the old English bastide village of Villefranche de Lonchat. The market towns of Castillon-la-Bataille, Montpon and Ste Foy-la-Grande are all within easy reach. The historic town and wine centre of St Emilion is a 20 minute drive to the west and the meticulously restored town of Bergerac is 30 minutes away to the east. We havre endeavoured to make the house a home from home for our guests; indeed it is a home, where we live when you are no longer there. Consequently the house is tastefully furnished and extensively equipped to provide all the facilities and comfort you need for a relaxing holiday.
There are 3 bedrooms, one with king-size bed, one double and one twin. On arrival, you will find all the beds made (with British pillows) as we provide all linen. Beds are changed weekly. There are 2 lounges, the larger of which provides a comfortable, and now air-conditioned retreat where you can relax and watch satellite TV, a DVD, or play one of the board games provided. The smaller lounge has 3 easy chairs and provides a quiet space for those wishing to escape from East Enders etc.
The kitchen/dining room is bright and spacious, and now air-conditioned, and provides seating for 8 around the traditional farmhouse table. The fitted kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need.
Facilities
The pool and garden are fully furnished with loungers, swinging couch and dining facilities. A gas barbeque is provided. We have a cot with all linen, buggy, highchair and child car seats. Inside the house, there are 2 double bedrooms, one with king'size bed, and 1 twin bedroom. There are 2 lounge areas and a large kitchen/dining room with antique farmhouse table. The house is very well eqipped and furnished throughout - it is after all where we live when you are not there. It is eclectically, some would say eccentricly, adorned with a multitude of ornaments from the naff to the genuinely antique. We are on site, but in separate and screened self-contained accommodation to the rear of the property, so you need never see us. Richard speaks fluent French should you need help. We hope you like fresh fruit and veg as we grow more than we can eat. A warm welcome awaits you ( together with a bottle of our local bubbly ).
Activities
The Lac de Gurson, 2km away, has beaches, safe swimming, water slide, fishing, tennis as well as beachside bars and restaurants. "Le Ranch" provides horse-riding for all ages.At nearby Nastringues there is a quad-bike circuit. The Museum of Locomotion at St Magne is well worth a visit. You can go Canoeing and Kayaking on either of the rivers Isle and Dordogne. Local wine-tasting can be arranged

25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking with the balance payable eight weeks before arrival together with a £200 security deposit. The rental price includes all linen, utilities and services. Payment can be by sterling cheque or electronic bank transfer.

"Home from home" self-catering house, private pool, sleeps 6 fully-equipped.
Les Buddleias is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Le Bost Vieux, 500 yds from our local village of Montpeyroux with its 16C chateau and 13C chapel. There is an excellent, Spanish-themed restaurant in Montpeyroux. Villefranche de Lonchat is 3 miles away with restaurnats, bars and shops. Nearby is the leisure lake complex, La de Gurson, also with beach bars and restaurants. The historic market towns of Castillon-la-Bataille and Ste Foy-la-Grande are 15 mins away by car, while a little further afield are St Emilion and Bergerac.
The house is very well appointed, and really is a home from home - it is, after all, where we live when you are not there. The garden and pool area are securely fenced and gated. The garden is shaded by fruit trees with barbecue, table and chairs for alfresco dining, and swinging couch for relaxing. The pool terrace has loungers for all and a further table and chairs for poolside eating and drinking.
The house is partially air-conditioned, there is satellite UK TV and radio as well as loads of books, game, DVDs etc. for your enjoyment. All linen from fecacloths to beach towels is provided.
Bicycles are available with our compliments. We also provide a welcome pack of food and refeshments for you and are happy to undertake a pre-arrival shop for you. You are assured of a warm welcome.
