All our gites are furnished & equipped to an exceptional standard to ensure that our guests have everything required for a relaxing holiday.

Les Chardonnerets is situated on over 2.5 acres of ground and planted gardens, surrounded by fields and woodland. There is a large, solar heated pool with sun terrace, children’s play area and boules pitch.

Located close to Brantome and Perigueux and just 4km from the fortified market town of Thiviers, Les Chardonnerets is an ideal base for exploring the whole of the Dordogne or just relaxing by the pool!

The Périgord-Limousin Natural Park provides a hilly, but not mountainous, landscape which is ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. It is also home to a host of wild animals and rare birds. The 4 rivers which cross the region provide for excellent canoeing and fishing. Nearby inland beaches offer water activities including cable water skiing.

The Dordogne is renowned as the gastronomic centre of France and the Périgord Vert, in particular, is rich in local produce including tuffles, foie gras, duck & goose, walnuts and, of course, escargot ! These can be bought in the weekly local markets or enjoyed in the many superb restaurants nearby.

Excellent road links from Thiviers make les Chardonnerets an ideal base for exploring all of the attractions of the Dordogne and Limousin. The medieval town of Sarlat, prehistoric caves at Lascaux, the vineyards in St Emillion and Bordeaux and the poignant ‘Village of the Martyrs’ near Limoges are all within easy day-trip distance.
