La Combe is an old stone property full of character and charm. In the summertime the garden offers lovely open views across the valley with the shaded terrace for dining outsideduring the day or on balmy evenings.There is also a bbq area with original stone bread oven and additional dining area.Around the pool there is plenty of space and garden furniture to relax and enjoy the views and tranquility.
During the winter months there is central heating and an open fire inducing a warm and cosy atmosphere. The house is on two levels with a double bedroom downstairs with it's own bathroom/wc/laundry room , offering a little more independance for two couple parties. Upstairs the kitchen is spacious and well equipped for those who wish to try cooking the local delightsThere is a charming and elegantly equipped dining room, a light and airy living room with open fire.The large tv has satelite to watch English or French programmes.French windows lead out onto the terrace.
One bedroom has three single beds and wash-basin,there is a double bedroom and bathroom with toilet.

The situation of the property allows a relaxed and quiet stay within easy reach of the many historical sites, medieval villages, bastide towns chateaux and markets. Le Coux has all the local facilities one needs to compliment the stay with boulangerie/epicerie, restaurant with terrace , bar and even includes a beach on the border of the Dordogne River which is fun for children or evening bbq's 'au sauvage' watching the fish jump and the varied birdlife.
The local towns each have their weekly market selling local produce including the medieval city of Sarlat which is only 30 miutes drive. The wine area of Bergerac with it's vineyards and chateaux is only 40 minutes away and also has an airport offering economy flights to England , Ireland and Amsterdam for those who wish to stay here long term but would like the opportunity to pop over for a short visit to another country.
