Domaine Le Repaire 
 
Our holiday accommodation consist of 5 picturesque country cottages. The separate self-contained cottages are situated in the hilltop hamlet Le Repaire in the shadow of the owner’s 18th century manor house, set in 5 acres of wooded parkland. A lovely valley borders Le Repaire, 1,5 miles from the village of Mareuil and halfway between the historic cities of Angoulême and Périgueux.  
It’s setting and surroundings offer tranquility, privacy and a save setting for children.  
The cottages and facilities make Le Repaire ideal for family holidays with children. Moreover, renting several cottages at the same time opens the possibility to accommodate larger groups of relatives and/or friends up to 25 persons enabling them to ‘holiday-apart-together’. 
 
The climate here is attractively varied with usually soft spring periods, warm summers, gorgeous autumns and mild winters. 
 
 
Accommodation 
 
All cottages are spacious and comfortable chalk stone farmhouses that have been restored in the typical Périgourdine style with many original features like open fireplaces, heavily beamed rooms and exposed stonework. The cottages Chez Misja and La Dronne (sleeping 4 each) have a habitable space of 80 m² and the three other cottages Chez Mimi, Le Boulou and La Belle (sleeping 6 each) are, have a habitable space of 120 m² each. 
The cottage La Belle is specially suited for disabled people and has therefore special facilities on the ground flour: no thresholds, a spacious bathroom with anti-skid shower (with special shower chair), a high toilet (with arm supports) and a washing cabinet suited for wheel chairs.  
 
Bedrooms 
 
The 4-sleep cottages each have 2 spacious bedrooms (double bed and twin bedded) and the other three cottages have two double bedded and one twin-bedded bedroom. All but one of the houses have one bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. La Belle has two bathrooms.  
 
Kitchen facilities 
 
Each kitchen is well equipped and contains all the essentials like oven, fridge, washing machine, the necessary kitchen utensils and ironing board. Each cottage has its own terrace and garden as well as BBQ and garden furniture. 
All cottages are provided with linen and bath towels free of charge; new towels are provided every week. 
 
External facilities 
 
Guests can make use of the following shared facilities: 
* 12 x 6 meter illuminated swimming pool with shower, shaded terrace, sunloungers, tables and chairs 
* 3 x 4 meter children’s pool 
* Tennis court 
* Volleyball/badminton area 
* Children’s play area with tabletennis, sandpit, swings, slides and trampoline. 
 
Reservation 
The minimum stay from Mid July till the end of August is normally two weeks,  
but sometimes there are some un-let single weeks available.  
Change-over days are: July 19, August 2 and 16. 
 
Accessibility 
 
Le Repaire can be reached by air via the airports of Bordeaux, Limoges or Bergerac, approx. 1, 5 hours drive or by TGV-train via Angoulême.

Local activities 
 
Le Repaire is embedded in the open rolling landscape, so characteristic for the Périgord Vert and lies in the heart of the Regional Nature Parc Périgord-Limousin in the Département Dordogne, known for its many castles and prehistoric remains. 
Within half an hour drive one can practice sports like canoeing, horse riding, fishing, cycling, rock climbing, visit markets, antique shops/fairs and undertake gastronomic and cultural explorations.  
There are 6 18-holes golf courses in the direct vicinity.

A returnable £100 security deposit cheque is also required for each week booked.
