Vacation Rental Description
Cluny Cottage is a detached 3/4 bedroom cottage, it has a large bright living kitchen area with a mezzanine floor. It has a modern mediterranean style bathroom with separate shower and bath and also his and her sinks, there is also a separate WC's on both the ground floor and the 1st floor.
There is a double bedroom on the ground floor which leads straight onto the private terrace to the rear of the property. There is also a double bedroom on the first floor as well as a single room and a small room with a set of bunk beds.
The property is full of the character one expects from a traditional French gite and all the fixtures and fittings have been sourced locally to ensure an atmosphere of authenticity. It was until recently the home to two painters and much of their beautiful work can be seen on the walls.
Cluny Cottage has it's own private terrace equipped for al fresco dining and has shared use of the 10 x 5 metre above ground swimming pool and shower block as well as rest of the extensive grounds which include a hammock and swing area and a meadow. There is also access by arrangement to the ceramic and art studio where you can try your skills at throwing a pot.
The property has a fully equipped kitchen, and also has a washing machine in the bathroom. Although there is no TV signal there is Wifi Broadband and a Apple Mac computer to watch DVD's or connect to the internet. There is also a traditional wood burning stove and an ample wood stock for warm evenings by the fire. For those you are feeling fit there are also a number of bikes which can be borrowed to explore the surrounding countryside..be warned it is hilly.

A detached 4 bedroom cottage. Downstairs has a kitchen/living room with gallery balcony (could be used for extended accommodation) three stairs lead to a downstairs bedroom, shower/bathroom and separate toilet room.
Upstairs there are three more bedrooms and a toilet room.

Riberac besides its bustling Friday market is a busy town with shops, restaurants supermarkets, banks and post office.
There are many beautiful beaches on the river and the nearby lakes, The Great Lake at Le Jemaye is 10 mins drive from La Perdix it has a beautiful sandy beach, it is great for swimming and has life guards on duty in the summer months, it has small restaurants, an adventure playground, a volley ball court and extensive picnic area, making it very popular with families. You can also hire a canoe to explore the lakes...and the good news is it's free for 30 mins.
