The north side of the garden (which abounds with numerous fruit trees including fig, cherry and peach) is bordered by the river Isle which offers the opportunity to fish in its well stocked waters. The living room opens through two sets of double doors onto a balcony which overlooks the river and is ideal for relaxing and sipping wine. The front of the house opens onto a large patio area. The grounds are accessed via double electric gates ensuring total privacy at all times. The house is a hundred metres from the edge of town where there is an Intermarche, numerous shops and bistro. A further 10 minutes walk takes you to the centre of town boasting a number of popular restaurants and bars including the Michelin listed Auberge de l'eclade. In all, an excellent base for exploring the Dordogne.
