SERGEAC is a small village nestling on a rocky platform overhanging a meander of the Vezere river in an authentic site. It is dominated by its XII century fortified church. Thanks to very old heritage, the vicinity of the river, the scenic relief, it is a unique holiday place. It is situated in the heart of the Black Perigord. L'ENCLOS leans againts the village and is lined by the river. This old farm house is a XVIII century estate, typical of the Black Perigord area, located in a 8000 m2 landscaped park, lined by the Vézère. Apart from the owner's house, the estate is made up of a long barn made of stone, which has recently been converted into two "gîtes" which combine the ancient character (apparent stones and beams) and comfort. LO GORRO can house 6 to 8 people : . a large open plan kitchen and dining area leads directly onto the sunny private garden (equiped with garden furniture,sun beds and BBQ) it is tastefully fitted with exposed stone walls as well as the spacious lounge with original features as 2 solid oaks beams, a stone arch which seperates sitting-room and dining room and a stone fire place. From the sitting room, the stairs lead up to the bedrooms. One of them opens on to a south-facing terrace on the river side. The cottage has been furnished and equiped to a hight standard and is suitable for family or couples.
The heated swimming pool is shared (opened from 05/01 to 09/30), without any body seeing, in a green scenery. It is relaxing place for everybody. A small charming house near the gîtes has been turned into a play room : a pleasant place where you can play and relax with the whole family. We placed an outdoor table tennis table under the trees in the garden.
L'ENCLOS, the place where Nature and Histoy are waiting for you, is opened all year long so enjoy a week-end, a week or more, just the two of you or with your family.
In the heart of the Black Perigord,9 kms from Montignac-Lascaux, 22 kms from les Eyzies, 18 km from Sarlat la Canéda, 50 km from Perigueux and 70 km from Bergerac (airport) the "Gîtes de l'Enclos" will enable you to discover the treasures of Dordogne, famous for its 1,001 castles, its well-known prehistoric sites (LASCAUX II) a well-preserved natural environment, numerous sport activities (canoe, moutain bike, horse riding, hiking paths) cultural activities (Black Perigord Festival, Theatre Festival in Sarlat, Dances and Music from all over the word Festival in Montignac) a famous haute cuisine (foie gras, truffes, wall nuts, boletus, Bergerac wines) producers markets smelling of authenticity and coviviality...all which guarantee a varied and nice holiday.
