Rouffiaguet ('roofyagay') was formerly the farm for the Chateau de Rouffiac. Located near the borders of the Dordogne, Haute Vienne and Correze, Rouffiaguet is ideally placed for exploring the many places of interest: archaeology sites, historic chateaux, gardens, waterfalls,unique events or simply picturesque villages and countyside.
The market town of St Yrieix ('san tireay')famous for the kaolin used to make porcelain has a delightful old centre. Larger towns of Limoges, Brive, Perigueux, Brantome and Sarlat are all within 1 hour.
The region around Rouffiaguet is known for it's Limousin cattle, apple orchards, chestnut and walnut plantations and Perigordine gourmet delights of foie gras, confit and margret de canard.
We are situated in gently rolling countryside adjacent to the Lac Rouffiac,secluded in 4 hectares of woodland and meadows. We offer all the tranquillity needed for a restful holiday and an ideal base from which to explore or simply relax.

The Lac Rouffiac is at the bottom of the lane. It has water skiing and a beach. Golf is 1 hr away.
Each apartment comprises a comfortable salon with integral kitchen facilites & a large bedroom (double or twin)with en-suit shower room. There are extension leads with English sockets. Basic cleaning equipment is provided. A large mirrored wardrobe with full length hanging and shelves. Chest of drawers. Beding and towels are provided but please bring pool towels. The bedrooms are large enough for a cot or single bed (additional charge of £1 per night). High chair is available.
We appreciate that you may wish to smoke but we ask that you do not do so in the apartment.
There is a man and ladies mountain bike, Petanque (boules), Table Tennis, Darts, board games, books, CDs,DVDs to borrow. There is a barbeque. Washing/ironing facilites are available at the house by arrangement.
