Vacation Rental Description
Situated on a small country road in the village of St Priest Les Fougères (some 100 meters up the road from our cottage, La Maison Jaune) we have a lovely old Périgourdin farmhouse where we offer bed and breakfast and the option of an evening meal.
The farmhouse, some two hundred year's old, has been lovingly restored over a period of many years and this is our home.
We offer 3 tastefully furnished and decorated double bedrooms (two with double beds and one with two single beds). Each room has its own private bathroom.
On warm days and hot summer evenings enjoy relaxing and dining on our lovely outside terrace.
With the additional accommodation facility of our cottage, La Maison Jaune, we can accommodate and cater for Small Group Functions - friends getting together, special occasions, business groups. Please let us know your requirements; time of year, number of people, length of stay and we 'll be happy to come back to you with a price.
Quiet, relaxing environment, an ideal location in which to rest and unwind. Guests are also welcome to use the unique facility of our private lake for swimming and fishing. Your dog is welcome too.
An ideal base for sight-seeing, house hunting and wine tasting.
Just 2.5 kilometres from the main route (RN21) at La Coquille, this makes an ideal stop-off point for those people touring in France, or en route south to Spain, or conversely going north to either the UK, Belgium, Holland and Scandinavia.

There are excellent riding stables just 10 minutes away. A great bike hire facility: delivered to the house if booked in advance. Private fishing and swimming at our own private lake. For fishing at larger lakes a permit is obtainable in La Coquille. Golf course 40 minute's away open to non-members with a club house. Many places to hire canoes. Great walks. Your dog is very welcome too.
Brantome, the Venice of the Dordogne, a 45 minute drive, taking in St Jean de Cole, one of the beautiful villages of France, on your way.The famous Lascaux caves at Montignac, plus La Roque St Christophe nearby, are about an hour away. Visit the Roman museum in Perigueux. Th impressive chateau of Jumilhac Le Grand is just 10 minute's away and the Chateau de Hautefort just half an hour. A good day’s sight-seeing visit Sarlat and the Dordogne valley. The area has a wealth of prehistoric caves and chateaux to visit, authentic old market towns and beautiful villages.
