Vacation Rental Description
The cottage is a south-facing restored farmhouse set in approx. 1 acre of fenced garden. It is in a rural setting and all windows and doors have a field or garden view. The french windows in the lounge open onto a small terrace and overlook the garden, the kitchen opens onto a covered terrace and also overlooks the garden. All rooms have exposed beams with the lounge having a wood burner and the kitchen having a very large open fireplace. The main bedroom is on the ground floor and as a double bed and a fitted wash basin/vanity unit, and the second bedroom is upstairs and as twin beds. The local village is only 1km away and has a minimarket/boulangerie, butchers, salle de fete (village hall), bar/restaurant which is also the village post office. The nearby town of Montpon has all the usual supermarkets, banks and restaurants.

    • Within a short drive is the Grande Etang (lake) of Le Jamaye, here can be found leisure lakes with el fresco restaurants, swimming, childrens play areas, canoes, pedalos and lakeside/forest walks. Slightly further away are many interesting places to visit ie Riberac, the very picturesque village of Aubeterre, the old roman town of Perigueux, the cosmopolitan city of Bordeaux, the famous wine towns of St Emilion and Bergerac and if you fancy a trip to the sea side Royan and Archacon are within reasonable driving distance.

      High Season Price: £700 per Week
         

    Booking can only be confirmed after receipt of non refundable deposit, which is 25% of rental price, the balance payable up to 8 weeks of commencement of rental date. A damage deposit of £100 is required (refundable within 2 weeks of departure date). The pool can be heated for an optional extra of £40 per week.
