Vacation Rental Description
France Holiday Rental Facilities
"I write to you with such pleasure to thank you for the fantastic holiday we have recently had in your beautiful house. The accommodation was simply wonderful, comfortable, tastefully furnished and very well equiped. The kids (and Chip, our terrier) had a fabulous time and loved playing with the dolphin in the pool! The location was everything you promised it would be and has served to only whet our appetite to visit again. We can not express enough our sincere thanks for making the holiday so effort free. We hope you will have availability for our next France holiday as there is still more for us to discover in the Dordogne region. Best, BJ. BJCaz, Manchester. Sept 01, 2008
Chez Kansei (meaning harmony & perfection) is a lovingly restored and converted 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, traditional Périgourdine stone farmhouse and barn. Spacious and beautifully furnished with original features in every room. Situated on the top of a hill in a lovely rural hamlet the house is a haven of peace that includes a large private infinity aspect pool with integrated toddlers area, BBQ, luscious landscaped gardens, wonderful pool terrace, picturesque courtyard and enough private parking for 3 cars.
The ground floor of the property comprises two reception rooms both with comfortable sofas and chairs to chill out and relax in. One houses an original stone fireplace and the other, rustic "pierre apparente" stonework. Or escape for a bit of quiet time in the cosy "nook" on the first floor with original fireplace and stone sink. Enjoying a view of the pool and garden, a sunshine filled area with comfortable seating, this is the ideal spot for reading your holiday novel, surfing the Net or just chilling with the iPod.
All mod cons are included for everyone to enjoy including large screen modern tv with dvd player and English freeview satellite TV. Wi-fi broadband internet access at no extra charge. The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with new appliances, crockery and utensils and features an original fireplace with wood burning stove.
(Sounds fantastic but in the current economic climate, value for money is a top priority. What more is on offer?)
Upstairs are four beautifully appointed bedrooms, one new fully fitted bathroom, one new fully fitted shower room and a separate WC with washbasin. The property is ultimately flexible to accommodate couples, families and friends, groups of enthusiastic walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers or painters wishing to relax after a great days activity.

Just an 8 min drive takes you to the "Little Venice of France", Brantome, a picture postcard town that dreams are made of. Old cobbled streets and walkways lined with beautiful boutique shops offering everything from gifts and clothing to fresh produce and a whole host of other delights. The town is an island surrounded by a loop of the River Dronne linked to the ouside world by five bridges. Its gabled bell tower, rising from the rock is held to be the oldest and one of the finest in France. The original Benedictine abbey was founded in 769 by Charlemagne. Jousting competitions make for a magnificent spectacle on the river during July and August.
In the botanical gardens on the banks of the Dronne are the monks exquisite little stone-carved rest-houses, literally half house and half cave. There are fine restaurants for special occasions, cafe society to enjoy whilst overlooking the river and the kids canoeing along it, the Friday morning market with its truffle and fois gras stalls buzzing with the life and soul of residents and tourists alike. An absolute treasure in the heart of the Dordogne.
Walking, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, hot air ballooning, swimming pools, golf courses, tennis and horse riding are JUST a handful of the plentiful activities available. There are inland beaches by the side of lakes and several places where you can enjoy fun filled boat trips along the rivers.
The surrounding area boasts lots of other beautiful and interesting towns and villages just waiting for you to get to know them with castles, chateaux, museums and Abbeys as well as famous caves to visit and explore. Just a 30 min drive North or South are the two beautiful Roman Cities of Anglouleme and Perigueux with their stunning cathedrals, local culture and wonderful shops and markets.
This area is world famous for its food and wine and there are excellent restaurants to suit every pocket. Many vineyards will make you exceptionally welcome and of course obligatory wine tasting if you wish!
So what are you waiting for? You NEED A BREAK, something to look forward to. Dont delay, book today and see, just how FANTASTIC it will be.
