Near the golf**** des Vigiers and close to the castle of MONBAZILLAC, ”Les Grands Chênes” is an eight acre property, just 10 minutes south of BERGERAC and its airport (daily low cost flights from England). The attractive large house with its private heated swimming pool, spa and sauna is at the end of a private lane edged with ancient oaks and overlooks a magnificent landscape of woods, meadows, lake and vineyards. “Les Grands Chênes” is suitable for family gatherings, anniversaries, wine tasting parties, just good friends wanting to have fun, etc. It can accommodate up to 25 people: 12 bedrooms (some with en-suite bathrooms and terrace), 10 bathrooms or shower-rooms, 10 WCs.This luxury villa, decorated with good, solid, comfortable furniture is occupied all the year (not just a seasonal rental). It is the main residence of its owners who live in when it is not rented. Of course, during their stay, our guests are alone on the property and take advantage of the villa, the garden, the surroundings and all the amenities. 
 
The house has its living quarters disposed on a single floor, and comprises: a) a main living accommodation: fully equipped kitchen 25m² (an adjoining laundry room provides washing and drying facilities), a large dining room 40m² with oak tables and comfortable chairs, a large and pleasant living room 45m² with fire place, a billiard room 40m² with bar, 8 comfortable bedrooms, with top quality bedding, some with king/queen size bed, en-suite bathroom and private terrace, 4 shower-rooms, 1 bathroom, 5 WC. b) 4 independent bedrooms with en-suite bathroom or shower and WC. These last four large bedrooms at the end of the house facing the heated swimming pool, have their own entries leading out onto a pleasant patio. They are all fitted with top quality bedding and queen or king size beds. Two of them have a fully fitted kitchen area and can communicate with the other bedrooms if so desired. All the house's rooms are well decorated and furnished. Most have high, beamed, ceilings.

On the spot: the heated swimming pool (11m x 5m) with a large surrounding terrace, and equipped with an immersion alarm for the safety of small children; In a new renovated building (120m²), there is a large Spa for 5 people (2 lying & 3 seats), a sauna, a balneo shower and fitness equipment. The billiard room is always available, also a Lowrey organ and a guitar; the mature garden makes for peaceful relaxation. There is a children's area with swings, ping-pong, table football, volley-ball, darts; Complete garden furniture, a large barbecue, sun lounger’s, several covered or open air terraces around the house and a parking area.Near-by: riding school(800m) which offers horse riding in the nearby countryside; hiking in the neighbourhood along numerous marked routes;tennis courts 10 minutes away; a well-known golf course 10 minutes away; canoeing, aqua parc, karting, bowling, tennis courts, discotheques, cinema in Bergerac.

The region is particularly lively in spring and summer, with outdoor events galore. Each town has its own outdoor fetes and events: there is always something to do. Open-air markets at local bastide towns are a daily event. Ste Foy la Grande, Bergerac, Eymet, Beaumont, Monpazier, Issigeac and Monflanquin are just some of the medieval towns within a short drive. From your comfortable residence, you can explore the many treasures of the Perigord: an abundance of prehistoric painted and carved caves, picturesque markets and mediaeval villages, excellent restaurants, outstanding food, some of the world's finest wines (Monbazillac, Bergerac, Pecharmant and just a little further afield, Sauternes, Pomerol, St Emilion).
