Vacation Rental Description
Les Noyers is a traditional Perigordian farmhouse that comprises: Downstairs:
A large double aspect living room (6x5m) complete with original fireplace and furnished in a traditional style. One of the three settees converts to a double bed and an original french armoir provides wardrobe and storage space.
There is a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and wash hand basin.
The seperate kitchen/diner (3.5x4.5m) is fully equipped with built in oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and large (120litre) fridge with ice box. There is a large dining table and lots of storage.
Upstairs:
The original hayloft has been sympathetically converted to retain many of the original oak beams and exposed stone walls.
There is a master bedroom with a kingsize bed, built in wardrobes and a seating area, ideal for quite reading.
The second bedroom provides flexibility with a single and a double bed plus a cot (which can be moved to the master bedroom if preferred).
A large family bathroom has a full sized bath equipped with both a central mixer tap for filling the bath and a wall mounted shower and shower screen.
Facilities include:
There is a larger than average sized saline swimming pool (12m x 5m) which is alarmed and equipped with sun loungers and shade and is regularly cleaned.
A shaded car park providing ample parking
Services of English speaking property manager.
An ancient bread oven which serves as a communal utility area with a washing machine.

Facilities
If you need a break from relaxing by the pool, there are walks in the country side, cycling (Bikes can be hired locally), horse-riding, canoeing on the Dordogne or fishing in the many local rivers. Many of the sites and flavours of this famous French region are within an hour or so drive, and include: • Sarlat – one of the Dordognes prettiest and most famous towns. • La Roque Cageac – which hangs onto the cliff side of the Dordogne valley • Domme – one of the most imposing Bastides in the Dordogne • Les Eyzies-de-Tayac - with the national museum of pre-history • The caves of Lascaux – with the world famous cave paintings • Chateau Monbazillac – where you can taste dessert wines to rival the best Sauternes • St. Emillion – a beautiful village and home to some of the worlds best red wines • Cahors – with its imposing medieval architecture • Bordeaux – the regional city with its beautiful old town
Activities
Les Charmes is a rural property and you will have to drive to the shops, there is however one restaurant that can be reached on foot, Les Peyrouliers which is about 1.5 kms away.
The nearest shops are in Monpazier, about 7kms away, though the nearest supermarkets are to be found in Villereal and Beaumont, both of which are about 10kms away.
The Bastide towns each have a weekly market, excellent for fresh produce, with an especially good one at Issigeac on a Sunday morning with a much wider range of goods and local crafts. During the summer season there are weekly night markets, which are great places to eat – but be there early before all the tables are filled!!
There are many good restaurants within a 12km radius, providing for a wide range of tastes and budgets. Most of these provide set menus and are especially good value at lunch time. Further details on local restaurants are available in the information packs at the properties.

30% deposit required at booking and balance payable 8 weeks prior to holiday commencing. Payment is preferred by cheque in GBP Sterling or Euros. Credit card payments can be made through paypal. Cancellation - deposit minus managment fee will be returned within 2 weeks of receipt. Final balance once made is non-refundable.

David and Amanda welcome you to their renovated 18th Centuary farm
Both David and Amanda started their working lives as NHS radiographers working in London and spent many family holidays in French gites.
We sometimes felt that the gites we rented were not as well equipped as we would like and we held the belief for many years that we could do better! So in 2005 we finally purchased a dilapidated set of farm buildings and with the help of some excellent local artisans set about converting them into 3 holiday gites - now we believe the proof is there for all to come and share.
