Or, for a slightly slower pace of live there is an abundance of shops and restaurants, or simply relax and kick back on one of the many sunbeds available for hire. For a livelier night out coral bay has numerous restaurants and tavernas, catering for all tastes. But the main strip comes alive in the evenings with bars, discos and clubs. Extremely family friendly with a warm relaxed atmosphere Coral bay also caters for the kids with go-karting, mini-golf,a games center and a children’s playground. Regular bus service runs from Coral Bay into Paphos.

Paphos is a town rich with history, situated on the south west coast of the island (formerly the capital of Cyprus). The harbour at Paphos is lined with open air tavernas that serve a menu of the days catch! Paphos has many historical points of interest including the district museum, the Tomb of the Kings, the Pillar of St Paul, the mosaics of Paphos and many other famous historic sites. Just a short drive away is the legendary site where Aphrodite the Greek Goddess of Love is said to have been born from the waves there. Paphos is split into two main areas. The old town is the main shopping area whilst the tourist area situated by the sea has numerous tavernas, restaurants, bars and shops. The Troodos Mountains – nearly 2000m - are littered with Orthodox churches. Most notable - the churches of Asinou, Panayia Tou Araka and the Archangel Michael. A glimpse of monastic life can be had at Kykko and Ayios Ioannis Lamndhistis monastries. Hiking is also very popular and the climate is cooler on higher ground. There are beautiful unspoilt views from the mountains and trails weave through the forests to half-forgotten villages, glorious Byzantine churches and remote monasteries. If you’re on the island between New Year and the end of March it’s possible to go skiing - Mount Olympus has 7 runs, something to suit all abilities.
