Vacation Rental Description
If you wish to experience life in a typical, friendly Cypriot village then this is the place to stay. Large well appointed studio apartment situated on lower terrace of a 200 year old stone village house with own private patio area, separate access door and entrance stairway. Very quiet and private, use of 8m x 4m pool. Overlooks Game reserve with fantastic views to the sea at Akrotiri. This beautiful area is extremely interesting to keen bird watchers, artists, walkers and mountain bikers or for anyone wishing for a quiet, peaceful holiday away from the usual holiday crowds. Birds seen in the garden and reserve include Rollers, European Bee-eaters, Hoopoes, Nightjars, Golden Orioles, Cyprus Warblers, Cyprus Pied Wheatears, Cyprus Cuckoo, Scops Owl and a rare sighting of a Griffon Vulture amongst many others. At present we have wild Anenomes and Cyprus orchids flowering in the reserve.
There is a cafe in the village and at Souni a taverna, tearoom and small supermarket. There are supermarkets, bakeries, banks, pharmacies, filling stations, restaurants, pubs and takeaways in Episkopi and Erimi - 5 minutes away by car.Distance to Episkopi and Erimi - 8kms. Kolossi - 12kms. Limassol - 18 kms. Paphos - 58 kms.
We are 25 minutes from Paphos Airport and 55 minutes from Larnaca Airport.A hire car would add considerably to the enjoyment of your visit and we can recommend several local firms.
Facilities
Large Studio apartment with lounge area with 3 and 2 seater sofas and 1 armchair, 3 coffee tables, Satellite TV, CD/DVD/Video player,Bookcase holding collection of DVD's, videos, books and games,table lamp,air conditioning unit which also provides heat. Bedroom area with King size bed,bedside tables and lamps,fitted wardrobes,hairdryer,iron and ironing board and two stowed away stackable,single beds. En-suite tiled bathroom with walk in shower, wash basin and w.c. Kitchen area with cooker,gas hob,fridge,microwave,kettle,toaster,vegetable steamer and all crockery,cutlery,glasses,pots and pans needed for 4 people. Outside there is a large sunny patio terrace which is very private with a table and four chairs,umbrella, sun loungers and a gas barbecue for guests' use. There is an 8m x 4m swimming pool which is shared with the owners.
Activities
Bird watching in the Game reserve and at the Salt Lakes at Akrotiri. Historical sites of interest at Kourion (mosaics and museum) and Kolossi Castle. Horse riding at Kourion. Mountain biking and walking in all areas. Wine museum at Erimi. Visits to various wineries on the Cyprus Wine Trail. Go-Kart racing at Erimi. The Water Park at Fassouri.Golf at nearby Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley. Night Clubs, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and shopping in Limassol. Sightseeing in Old Port and Limassol Castle area. Lovely beaches at Kourion, minutes away by car, safe family beach at Lady's Mile on the outskirts of Limassol. Beach at Pissouri.This area is extremely interesting to any keen bird watchers. Private birdwatching trips can be arranged with very knowledgeable guide.

To book the apartment please contact the owners by phone or email and to discuss any queries you may have. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking plus a £50 refundable damage/breakage deposit and full balance to be paid six weeks before arrival.If you need to cancel your booking your deposit will be returned if the apartment is able to be rebooked.If not, then the deposit will be forfeited. Payments will be accepted by bank transfer, details of which will be given when you make your booking Payment to be made in British Pounds or Euros.

Words cannot do this location and apartment justice. The apartment was lovely, everything you could need for a holiday in Cyprus though with so much to do in the area we didn't spend too much time at the apartment. Hiring a car meant we could explore the area with Audrey and Andy's helpful advice on where to visit and even booking a table for us at a wonderful restaurant. A truly romantic get away, we actually got engaged whilst watching the sun set in the apartment garden. We arrived to be greeted by the owners and we left saying goodbye to friends. What more can I say ! Anna M.

We enjoyed a wonderful 9 days… very relaxing, very peaceful just the birds singing, wonderful clean air, the sun shone, and a fantastic view from the terrace. We dined out every evening just so we could enjoy the local restaurants recommended by Andy and Audrey. We will be back!! Hope to see you both soon.

Had a wonderful week... The apartment is lovely with everything needed for an enjoyable stay and the village with its lovely little church and houses makes you feel as part of the real Cyprus away from all the usual tourist crowds.
Thanks also for showing us some of the hidden gems which we would otherwise have missed without that little bit of local knowledge - hope to see you again soon.
