No 43 Crystal Bay View is situated near Esentepe and enjoys superb mountain views on 2 sides. It is on a small and quiet development and comes with a feeling of spaciousness because of this. The site benefits from a large, well maintained swimming pool and one can spend all day just lazing around the pool and relaxing on the many loungers available. The location is exceptionally quiet and provides easy access to many mountain walks although in the heat of the North Cyprus summer one would probably prefer to stay around the pool. Esentepe is some 5 miles from the new Korinium Golf Club and is also near to the Aligadi beach with its world famous turtle project. The Town of Karinia is some 15 miles away and offers sailing, scuba diving, many restaurants etc. The area is a cultural mecca especially if you are interested in the Crusades, Roman history or old castles. Spring brings a wonderful flower display and organised walks are available. Great for a chill out holiday.


• The estate is child friendly, however teenagers might find it too quiet for their tastes. For older couples, married couples with young children or anyone looking for a quiet chill out week in the sun. A hired car is probably an essential unless you just want to go to the estate and chill out for a week in which case you could use the excellent local taxis.

• The apartment has not been specially adapted for people with mobility problems. Because the ground floor is open plan and access is by way of a large patio door there would be no problem regarding access to the downstairs area. As one of the bedroom is located off the lounge and there is a downstairs WC and shower there would be little problem in living exclusively on the ground floor and thus avoiding the use of stairs.

• One of the nice features is the spacious patio area which enjoys a pleasant view of the nearby hills. There is a large well maintained shared pool and an outdoor Jacuzzi and there is also a small gymnasium for those so inclined.

• Crystal Bay View is situated some 6 kilometres from Esentepe, a lovely old Cypriot village located halfway up a mountain and enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding area. The apartment is some 15 kilometres from the Aligadi heights with great mountain views and the famous Aligadi beach, home of the renowned turtle project. The Aligadi offers scuba diving and has a pleasant sandy beach with safe swimming and a pleasant restaurant.

Hob/Stove, Oven, The lounge has a country style comfortable suite together with satellite TV, DVD player and portable music centre capable of playing CDs, MP3 audio cassettes and also a radio. Open dining area leading through to open plan kitchen.

Kyrenia, some 20 km away offers a load of history, excellent restaurants and a wide range of local shops. It has a number of open air markets where local and Turkish products may be bought at reasonable prices. From Kyrenia you can tour the 3 crusader castles, St Hilarion, Buffavento and Kantara all perched breathtakingly high above the towns and villages of Northern Cyprus. If you prefer quieter excursions you cn head off East up the Karpas peninsula to remote and stunning sandy beaches which include the 7 km Golden Beach and Malibu beach.

During the spring, when the mountain flowers burst into bloom you can join an organised walk to observe the various flowers and orchids then in flower. Culturally you have the well known Bellapais Abbey and Lawrence Durrell's house. There is also the icon, shipwreck and folk art museums. All in all Northern Cyprus offers the possibility of a really relaxing, quiet and yet interesting break.
