Set back from the road around a pretty courtyard and communal pool, 'Blue Electra' offers privacy, comfort and quiet in a romantic setting a stroll from the local beaches and the numerous restaurants and bars. This bright, airy apartment is ideal for a couple or small family, with room to sleep 4. Completed in 2006 it's thoroughly modern, fully air-conditioned and equipped and furnished to a very high standard: a fully fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, cooker, hob and dishwasher; utility area with washing-machine; tiled throughout with bath and shower. In the bedroom two single beds with new orthopaedic mattresses and huge built-in wardrobes. In the open-plan living area a double sofa bed, dining table and four chairs, TV and DVD with a library of films - have a quiet night in or distract the kids while you have a lie-in. Eat al fresco or just relax on the balcony with its views of the sea and sunrise.
On the main East coast road, the up and coming area of Kapparis is the best kept secret in Cyprus. Famed for its sandy beaches, the surrounding Famagusta district was the holiday destination for Cypriots and tourists alike before the island’s partition in 1974. These days Kapparis is lively all year round, thanks to the wonderful Cypriot climate and the residential tourists who live in the area the whole year. The main road is home to several a la carte, high quality restaurants and over a dozen cafes and bars – in Summer you can eat out somewhere different locally every day for a fortnight. If you prefer to shop and cook an intimate meal for yourselves, the local Orphanides supermarket is 5 minutes drive, while two convenience stores and a fruit market are just a short walk. Less than a ten minutes stroll (750m) from the apartment is the coastline, littered with often deserted sandy bays and coves, the closest being the beautiful and secluded Fireman’s Beach. Lively Ayia Napa is less than 15 minutes away.

The Ocean Aquarium is on the main road into Protaras, about a 30 minute walk away.
Famagusta viewing point and mini-zoo at the northern end of the village. You can walk there in 15 – 20 minutes.
Retail therapy at non-toursit prices in Paralimni town centre.
Spend a half-day strolling along the coastal path from the Turkish border (UN Buffer Zone) down to Protaras.
Visit Cape Creco (Cavo Gkreko) National Park, abundant with birds and flowers. A must see in Spring.
