If you are looking for a tranquil beautiful place to relax, meditate, read, walk, enjoy good food, drink and marvellous sunsets away for TV, emails, life stressors this is the place for you. Restored 18th century house has all essential amenities with exclusion of a swimming pool, TV, and internet (these are available in a hotel 5 minutes walk away) as well as a range of sports / wellness facilities, and Spa facilities are 5km away available all year around; and daytrips to Venice, many islands, and historical places like Pula, Porec, and Rovij. There are few very good restaurants offering traditional Istrian cuisine with their truffle specialties minutes away. The valley is one of the best for truffle and wine in the region. Motovun is a medieval hilltop place with breathtaking views of Mirna Valley, rolling hills and vineyards; a walled city with narrow winding cobbled streets and may be less suitable for people with mobility problems and small children. Car is essential. Parking is outside the city walls and can be restricted in mid summer, and may cost a little. Please note: All precautions have been taken to ensure pleasant and safe stay. We do not assume any responsibility for personal and property damage. Please make sure you are adequately insured.  
The house sleeps up to 5 in 2 bedrooms (one open plan ) with 3 single beds and one double sofa-bed. There are two secluded leafy spacious west-facing terraces with magnificent views of Mirna valley, and rolling vineyards.  
Motovun is minutes away from easy walking, within 30 minutes drive to many places of historic and cultural interest, and 15 miles to the seaside holiday resorts and beaches, day trips to Venice and near by islands, and underground caves.Quite simply it is stunning....

    • Events of interest: Asparagus picking season in April; International Film festival at the end of July; Folk Festival in August; Harvest Festival in September; truffle season starts in October. Motovun is a walled city with narrow winding cobbled streets and may be less suitable for people with mobility problems and very small children. Car is essential. Parking is only minutes walk outside the city walls. Sorry, pets are not considered. Please note: All possible precautions have been undertaken to ensure a pleasant and safe stay in Casa Montona.     On booking 50% deposits is required. The deposit is fully refunded for cancellation 4 weeks before the start of the booking. 20% reduction in price is offered for bookings of 3 weeks or longer. Longer stay 4 weeks or over can be arranged at lower rates.
