2 Bedroom House in Island of Vis

A truly luxurious four-storey house, set back from a pretty quayside on the charming island of Vis. This is an old house in the beautiful Venetian-style architecture of Vis, which has been stylishly renovated to a high standard. Fabulous views from our top-floor terrace over the picturesque bay of Vis with its monastery, islets, harbour side yachts and the turquoise sea. From the terrace you can sip your drinks or have a meal watching the sun set over the far side of the bay. Both king-size bedrooms have similar breath-taking views, and one of the bedrooms has a further terrace. It would suit couples and older families who want a completely different holiday, dislike commercialisation, and enjoy really good food and wine. They may also have an interest in history (lots of naval history), sailing, diving (Greek, Roman and 16c/17c/18c wrecks), vineyards, ecology (said to be the only totally organic island in the world) and incredible ice-cream!

There are two lovely terraces, both with breath-taking views. One has relaxing cane furniture for taking breakfast or your evening drinks. The other, at the very top of the house near the kitchen, has a dining table with six chairs. We provide four sunbeds which can be used on either terrace. There is a high standard of furnishings throughout, with quality beds and mattresses, real goose-down pillows, soft fluffy towels and even bath-robes provided. We also provide four bicycles.

This is a very uncommercial island, though in July and August it does have an open air cinema by the sea, which is quite fun! There are no proper night-clubs, though for teenagers like ours there are two cafe-bars which stay open late (nowhere near our house so don't worry about noise!)
